The lodge was custom designed to be the perfect gathering place for your group in the heart of the Hocking Hills. We own and operate the lodge (Liberty Log Lodging) and spend time there ourselves making sure everything is perfect for your stay.

River Rock Lodge is located between Logan and Hocking Hills State Park, just 10 minutes to Old Man's Cave, Cedar Falls and Conkle's Hollow. The private setting is so amazing you might not want to leave the lodge. There is an outdoor basketball court and 12 beautiful acres to roam. Bring your fishing poles for the stocked fishing pond (bass, cat fish, blue gill) or just relax on the dock. Many guests say they enjoyed their daily walks around the pond on our trails.

The fully stocked kitchen has everything needed to prepare and serve a meal. Enjoy a dinner "at home" at the custom made dining table or breakfast bar. Ask us about catering and traveling chef options if you prefer not to cook.

The main floor living room features sofas and love seats arranged around the 2 story stone fireplace and wall of windows. From here walk out onto the 3000+ Sq Ft of expansive wrap around covered porches where you can grill, dine, and relax around the outdoor covered fireplace.

The main floor has one queen bedroom with an ensuite full bath. There is also a half bath on the main floor.

Upstairs there are 4 identical Queen bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms.

The lower level has 2 Queen Bedrooms one of which has a mini size crib (you'll want to bring mini sized crib sheets) and the Bunk room which has 2 queen bottom beds and 2 twin tops. There are 2 full baths down in the basement.

There is a queen size EZ Lounger in the sitting area off the main floor living room.

All towels and linens are provided. If you prefer not to fully disconnect while you're away we have Starlink Internet.

The basement has a game room with TV, couches, pool table and foosball. From the basement you can walk out on to the bottom covered deck to take in all the natural beauty while you soak in the covered hot tub, enjoy a game of corn hole, or gather around the fire ring under the string lights while the kids play on the swing set.

We love Hocking Hills and have hiked all the trails and visited most of the area attractions so please feel free to ask us questions as you plan your trip. River Rock is frequently rented for off site corporate events, family reunions, and retreats- we are happy to help you plan!

Please read our rental agreement before booking- No College, Prom Parties. No Hunting, Fireworks. Maximum 22 guests at all times. Minimum age for renting is 25, We reserve the right to request a copy of ID. Weddings/Events must be approved and pay wedding fee. Check in is 4PM, Check out is 11am. Holidays & Summer have a 3 night minimum.

This was a great place for our extended family - lots of room, and plenty of seating for all. We really enjoyed the foosball and pool table, plus sitting around the outdoor fireplace in the evening.

This is truly a home away from home. It has everything you need. It is an oasis giving plenty of privacy offering peace and serenity. All the area’s attractions are easily accessible for plenty of exploring.or there is plenty to do if you just want to hangout at home.

Fabulous lodge in a gorgeous part of Ohio!

Amazing cabin

This cabin had it all! Enough size to accommodate several families and still make us feel not on top of eachother. It was completely stocked with everything we needed. Very clean and close to hiking!

River Rock Lodge for 40th Anniversary

We had our children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren together to celebrate our 40 years together as a family. Everyone really enjoyed being together and the excellent accomodations. I highly reccomend this property!

The house was great! We had 18 family members ranging from age 2 - 91. There were so many bedrooms that we even left one unused. There were plenty of bathrooms too. The kitchen opened to the main room which was nice so we were always together. The wrap around deck was awesome for the 2 & 4 year old boys who rode their bikes around and around literally every day for hours. They loved it! The playset was great for them too. There is a small pond on the property that was used for some fishing. The basement was big and had a great table for lots of games. The large dining room table worked great too! We went to Hocking Hills for some hiking, which was gorgeous. We also went into town to stroll and hit a few small shops and did some antique shopping too! We had a great time!

Family vacation

We loved this house! Was wonderful for our family of 14 ranging in ages from 12-73. Caught soem fish in the pond, used the hot tub, played cornhole and lots of pool and of course did a ton of hiking. It was so nice having a dining room table big enough for all of us! We cooked in all week and the house had just about everything we needed! Loved having 2 coffee pots!

Everything was as described and weather allowed to enjoy the all the outside has to offer. Our grand daughter took her first steps during the trip. Had a great Easter egg hunt with all the kids. Fished, hiked, played basketball, had night time fires that included smores, a perfect week.

Family get together of siblings and cousins

This property was perfect for our group of seniors ages 60-86. There was plenty of room for several different card games. The hot tub was perfect after hiking at Hocking Hills Park. The outside fireplace and the fire pit were used in the evenings. The kitchen was big enough for multiple people preparing meals and cleaning up after. The pond and fishing was another source of great entertainment. Bedrooms and bathrooms were a good size. This was a great place to stay and everyone in our group loved it!

best vacation ever.

A lot of times you see pictures of a house and when you get there it doesn't live up to the pics, but this place lived up to its gorgeous pics. everything was cleaned and well stocked and lots of places for our large extended families to branch out. There is a plak on a wall that says "Life is better at the lodge" we used that plak in a multitude of photos. each person with their own rendition of "Life is betteer at the lodge".

Family Gathering

This was perfect for us. We celebrated our 65th wedding anniversary with our family for the weekend. It allowed for many activities and the whole group in the spacious house eating together. We could not have been happier. A beautiful kitchen. A great bunk room. Great hot tub. It goes on and on. We loved it.

Perfect for our family of 12!

It is easy to see how much thought went into the design and layout of the River Rock Lodge. The kitchen is large and allows for several cooks to work together. The dining table fit the entire family. The couches in the main room provide seating for everyone to gather around the fire. With four rooms upstairs, one on the main floor and three more in the basement, there is a room for everyone. We had much fun playing pool and foosball. The hot tub was used too. The outdoor space also seemed very spacious and inviting. We will have to come back in warmer weather to enjoy those spaces. Sarah was great at giving quick responses to all of our questions. We have already booked it for next year!

Absolutely stunningly beautiful Lodge and private, tranquil location with everything meticulously planned for and taken care of for us- from a fully stocked kitchen, game room with activities for all ages and plenty of beds and baths for our group with plenty of common area spaces to spread out. Even firewood was available on the deck for easy purchase and access. Plus so many options for hiking, activities and outings in the region! We are already making plans to come back next year!

This lodge was a dream! It’s even more beautiful in person than the pictures show if that’s even possible. Clean, well-maintained, in the perfect spot for a getaway with a large group. The indoor and outdoor fireplace was one of my favorite parts. We drank coffee while listening to the birds on the porch, Took nighttime walks down to the fountain in the pond, and had s’mores at the fire pit under the twinkling lights. But most importantly, we had an intimate wedding with our closest friends and family there and it was everything we had hoped for. Just an absolute perfect weekend. we can’t wait to come back !
