Overlooking the sea and Qeparo Bay, the village gives the impression of a castle. Olives have been cultivated in the village of Old Qeparo for centuries, as mentioned in the early 19th century in the work of François Pouqueville, Napoleon Bonaparte’s general consul at the court of Ali Pasha in Ioannina. As evidence of this, several centuries-old olive trees still stand in the village. The Porto Palermo Castle, built by Ali Pasha in the early 19th century, is part of the Qeparo area. The Villa Qeparo holiday home is perfect for families or groups of friends travelling together, as it accommodates up to 5 or 6 people in the bedrooms on the 1stand ground floors, as well as a large living room with an open-plan kitchen featuring a traditional roof style on the ground floor, and a veranda on the second floor offering panoramic views of the mountains and the Qeparo Bay. The garden is adorned with stonework and features traditional arched walls characteristic of the old village of Qeparo.
