About this property

Country life close to the Deschutes River

Beautiful Ranch farm house with loads of amenities. The original homestead was once the Wapinitia doctors office and dates back to the mid 1900's. It has since been added onto and updated. It's located on a 5th generation wheat and cattle ranch with a wheat field bordering the home and cattle periodically grazing next to the home. Offering a breath taking view of Mt. Hood, located within a ten minute driving distance to Maupin where one can experience not only a charming small town but some of the best fly fishing and white water rafting around.

The house includes: WIFI, multiple Tv's, BBQ, dishwasher, washer and drying, cooking utensils, dishes, fridge, decks, pond, two queen beds, one full and three twin beds, two bathrooms, dining table, large living room, pond and a large fenced yard. There are dirt and paved roads for biking and walking located nearby.

One might even see some of the old history of Wapinitia while out exploring. Wapanitia is an old town that dates back to the mid 1800's where it once had an old hotel, post office, school, cemetery and church. It was a stopping point for stage coaches to drop mail off from The Dalles.

The house is also within a 30 min drive of:
- Kah-Ne-Tah Hot Springs
- White River Falls
- McCubbins Gultch (for off road ATV riding)
- Pine Hollow Reservoir
- Sherars Falls
- Bear springs
-Mt. Hood
-Clear Lake
-Frog Lake

Bring your food, bikes, and fishing gear and get ready to enjoy the high desert sunshine and peace and quiet of farm life living.

No smoking or wild parties please.
Animals welcome but limited two only.

Peaceful and relaxing
This peaceful, quiet, tranquil setting was ideal. The sunsets both nights were spectacular! The grounds were perfect for our cornhole competition, and the dogs loved being able to run and chase the frogs into the pond.

This property was bought back in 1980's by our family and added to our operation. We feel very honored and blessed to be able to share this peace and tranquility of staying in our ranch home with you.
