About this property

Y Bwthyn, Aberaeron - Two Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 4

Y Bwthyn is a lovely seaside terrace townhouse in a quiet yet central position in the Georgian coastal town of Aberaeron, Ceredigion. Refurbished to a high standard, it is a welcoming and comfortable base for enjoying Aberaeron and exploring Cardigan Bay. The property is perfect for 2 couples. Aberaeron is a charming Georgian town with its shops, restaurants, bars, beaches and harbour just a stroll away from Y Bwthyn.

Aberaeron hosts many events popular with both locals and visitors such as The Fish Festival and Aberaeron Carnival.

Ceredigion's 63-mile length of the Wales Coast Path passes through Aberaeron. By using the Cardi Bach coastal shuttle bus you can walk its length in sections with no need to double back each day. It offers a superb view of Cardigan Bay, the spectacular Ceredigion Heritage Coast and its wildlife - ; you will want to take your camera along!

You have a good chance of spotting the Bay's resident Bottlenose Dolphins during summer walks along the coast but for a closer look at both them and the coastline, boat trips are highly recommended. Visiting the seaside villages such as New Quay, Llangrannog and Tresaith in the little coves on the Bay is a must and they also offer good chances for dolphin and seal sightings.

From Aberaeron, you can walk or cycle the path alongside the pretty river Aeron to the National Trust mansion at Llanerchaeron where you can visit the house, explore the lovely gardens and have a picnic before making your way back.

A scenic drive through the verdant Aeron Valley takes you through the beautiful countryside to the University town of Lampeter in the Teifi Valley. Continue on to Tregaron and the Cambrian Mountains for wilder upland scenery and endless walking opportunities.

Lovely cottage in central aberaeron

We had a long weekend in the cottage and found it just right for us. Near to all the towns amenities, easy to find and cosy inside. Many thanks
