About this property

The Creamery, Cardigan

The Creamery at Plas Treforgan is 3 minutes from Cardigan town near Cardigan Bay beaches. This cottage is set in the picturesque and extensive grounds of this beautifully restored Grade II listed Georgian Country House Estate, with its enchanting walled garden and summer house.
Converted from the former Dairy of the main house, the cottage provides a homely yet high-quality retreat. The Creamery provides a wonderfully peaceful location, opening onto the pretty cobbled courtyard.

The Creamery is 2 miles from Cardigan, close to the meandering Teifi River and Estuary as it approaches Cardigan Bay, reaching the sea at Poppit Sands with its huge expanse of beach and sand dunes.
With the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, Wildlife Centres and The Dylan Thomas Trail (New Quay), there are endless activities for children and adults to immerse themselves in the lifestyle and history that Ceredigion has to offer. These range from walking, golfing, fishing, canoeing, archery and bird watching to the painting, writing and photographic opportunities on your doorstep and beyond.

Whatever the weather, Plas Treforgan captures the romantic, inspiring and atmospheric nature of its surroundings, and is very well situated for exploring much more of the areas of outstanding natural beauty in West Wales.

OUTSIDE
Set in 16 acres of grounds, with a cobbled courtyard alongside the walled garden, surrounded by lawns, including a sunken/formal lawn to the right of the main house, with BBQ and small children's play area. Beyond the lawns are two large fields, one containing a large pond where children must be supervised. There is a great deal of space to play in but we politely ask you to note that care and supervision is required particularly in the walled garden and that permission for dogs does not extend to inside the walled garden. Beyond the walled garden there is the summer house and additional gardens. Parking for 2 cars on drive. A tumble dryer is available in the 'Fisherman's Shed' for use by guests, which also contains extra fridge/freezer space.
