About this property
Min y Mor, Newport - Five Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 10
Just a minute's walk to the sea, the magic of Min-y-Mor in Newport, Pembrokeshire is in the character and comfort of this family home, set in the beautiful countryside of the Preseli hills and the Pembrokeshire National Park. The house has a large conservatory, south-facing patio and enclosed sunny garden, with fields beyond. From the second floor picture window is a superb view of the bay. Warm and well-furnished Min-y-Mor is suitable for one family or two families sharing.
The house, up a short private lane, is at Parrog, the seaside boating harbour of Newport, on the River Nevern estuary with its extensive sands, dunes and striking cliff scenery, and Carningli Mountain standing behind. Newport is a friendly village, one of the most attractive in Wales. Just a short walk from Min-y-Mor, it has excellent restaurants and pubs, good food shops including a health food shop, chemist, and antique shop.
Enjoy swimming, rock pools, fishing, wonderful walks (the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path goes through Parrog), ancient remains (the stone of Stonehenge comes from these hills), nature in abundance, golf (said to be one of the best seaside courses), riding stables (with tuition and trekking) ; all in a most lovely setting.
