Pretty White house - Stunning Villa by the beach

The villa is situated in the most exclusive area of Monterosso in an exclusive park immersed in quietness and close to the Giant's rock where the historical statue of Neptune is located.
It is 50 metres from the beach, restaurants and bars and an 8-minute walk from Monterosso train station.
Pretty White House consists of three bedrooms two bathrooms and a private furnished terrace in front of the sea where you can eat outside and relax. On the ground floor there is a large living/dining room with very comfortable sofas and in the kitchen area there is a slightly outdated but fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. On the upper floor (the sleeping area), which is accessed by climbing a comfortable and suggestive spiral staircase, there are two bathrooms, both with showers, one of which has just been renovated, 3 bedrooms with two beds each that can be arranged either as double beds or as single beds, and a terrace organised with chairs, a sun umbrella and a table on which to enjoy aperitifs and unforgettable dinners or simply to enjoy the view of a glimpse of the coast of the 5 terre while listening to the chirping of the birds. The house is a perfect choice for large families or groups of friends. Each room is bright with ample space for personal belongings (clothes etc....).
The décor is casual and sometimes dated but very pleasant with a mixture of antique and modern, original art and a nautical and nautical feel.
There is a private parking lot available for guests which is free of charge and is FOR ONE STANDARD SIZE CAR ONLY. - NO PEOPLE CARRIERS OR VANS ARE ALLOWED

Wonderful

My daughter and stayed at the pretty White House and absolutely loved it! The property was beautiful, house clean, beds comfortable! We loved the 1 minute walk to the beach. Everything was so close. Giovani was a great help and communicated very well with changes and checkin. He was is a gracious and wonderful host! I look forward to retuning to this lively home again with my family! I highly recommend it!

Perfekte Lage

Wir haben den Aufenthalt im pretty White House genossen,das Haus ist perfekt für 3 Paare, die Lage ideal, nur wenige Schritte vom Meer entfernt und sehr ruhig in einem schattigen Park gelegen. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist sehr reichhaltig und es gibt Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Das Haus war innen sauber und alles hat funktioniert, nur die Terrassenbereiche waren etwas vernachlässigt und nicht so schön wie auf den Fotos ( die Plastiksessel gebrochen, nur 3 Sitzauflagen)

Dream Location

This house is in a perfect location! It was like a dream. There were 3 terraces to sit/eat on; each with a spectacular view. It is surrounded by a variety of trees and plants but there are large breaks between the limbs so you can see the ocean as well. When we were home we were definitely outside! Inside is very comfortable with many conveniences: clothes washer, dish washer, blow dryer, iron… Just know that the prongs for the blow dryer and iron do not fit into the outlets. You will find adapters in a bedside table in the master bedroom.

Great Location

This is the perfect location! Tucked away on the hill, the views are amazing and you aren't in the "thick of things". Easy walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. The host is very responsive and helpful! Giovanni was available to answer questions and to set up tours and transportation! He made it easy for us! As stated before, there is a pretty tight spiral staircase, but it wasn't a problem for us.

Private Beach House

The Host Giovanni was so nice, accommodating, and responsive and helped me out when my travel plans changed which was so appreciated. The home is up the hill away from the busy town which makes it very private and the deck is lovely (but both deck and sitting area on ground floor were dusty, not washed off, before we arrived). It is a beach house without TV and A/C, just two fans, which is our style. The two bedroom floor fans were older but worked great. As we found around Italy, little things missing like no trash cans in the house and no shelves in shower (one shower did have a shelf). As another reviewer mentioned the walk up the hill and spiral staircase can be challenging for some people. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the views from the deck, walking up the path, the bedroom window and the downstairs kitchen window. The views were gorgeous. We found the little beach to the right of Il Gigante was less crowded and quieter than in town. Giovanni is an amazing host and made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed and gave us good tips and info.

Loved Monterosso!

The Pretty White House was in a good location near the beach and restaurants. Giovanni was easy to reach and responsive. We wished we had a fan for every room as it was very warm when we stayed. It should be noted for guests with mobility issues that the driveway to the house is fairly steep and uneven. There is also a narrow spiral staircase to reach the bedrooms and bathrooms on the second floor. Overall, a decent place to stay. We loved Monterosso Al Mare and enjoyed our time there!

The location was fabulous - away from day trippers but easy to get to new town and old town. It was not clear that both bathrooms and all bedrooms were up a spiral staircase. There was a problem with electric outlets and owner handled right away. Enjoyed our visit - but folks with any mobility issues need to know about spiral staircase.....

Pretty White House

Wow! That best describes our amazing stay in Monterosso Al Mare. The house was perfectly located at the north end right behind Il Gigante and the tower in a secluded gated community with lots of shady trees. I say perfectly located because it was away from the plague of locust like cruise ship tour groups and is about 1 minute walk to the beach. Loved the outside spaces and the big open windows. If you want to do something memorable have Giovanni (the owner) put you in touch with his friend Daniella for an evening cooking class at her beautiful home 5 minutes away. 5 Stars, Gazie Giovanni!

Giovanni was by far the best part of our trip! He helped us make reservations to the best restaurants in town and hooked us up with a local chef for a cooking class and a private boat tour of all 5 Terre’s! We had an absolutely amazing time! The location of this house was in new town and so easy to get anywhere and it had parking. We didn’t drive anywhere! 2mins from the beach! We loved our vacation there

Tranquility and Excellent Location

The Pretty White House was perfect for our family of 4. Our 2 boys had their own rooms, which was a huge bonus for them, and ours had the walkout to the beautiful patio, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine at the end of the day while breathing in all that gorgeous sea air. The location was excellent, close to everything and everywhere and the slight incline up to the house made us feel we were getting just the right amount of exercise after all of the eating we did! After having visited the other towns of the Cinque Terre now, we are very happy that we chose Monterosso for our stay. It was fabulous. The hiking was spectacular, the ease of getting everywhere can't be beat, and it's all within a short distance of the accommodations. Then, at the end of a long day, the Pretty White House was a perfect place to get away from it all, and to rest our tired bodies. Beds were comfortable, the house was clean and tidy, and there was plenty of space for all of us to relax. Communications with Giovanni were always easy and timely, and the check-in process was quick and thorough. We had no concerns or questions left unanswered. Would recommend Giovanni and the Pretty White House for a lovely stay in Cinque Terre. Thank you Giovanni!

Cute house, close to beach and train station

Cute house at the far end of town, very private, close to beach/restaurants/grocery. Ideal for a family of 4-5, but not with young kids as there is a narrow spiral staircase connecting to the second floor. Rooms are small but adequate. No screens on windows so a lot of bugs got in. Nice porch off bedroom with table to eat outside. Host was very gracious and accommodating and answered all of our questions. A nice place to stay in Monterosso!

Great spot in Monterosso, Cinque Terre

The Pretty White House is a great spot to stay for your visit to the Cinque Terre. It is located in the new town section of Monterosso a Mare. A short walk from the train station but a little bit out of the main hub Bob with privacy and quiet even during the April holiday weekend and the May 1st holiday. Our host Giovanni was extremely responsive to all questions and provided some nice suggestions of things to do. We hired a hiking guide for one day through him and also attended a cooking class and dinner at a friend of his. Both excursions were delightful. He also offered to book is on a boat ride which we did not take advantage of. We checked on hiking routes with the national park service at the tourist information. We did different routes for 4 days plus the one day with the guide. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes pots corkscrew and even salt pepper olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We were able to cool a delicious meal with ingredients bought at the Thursday morning market. The grocery stores also had a nice selection of. Cheeses meats and breads to take for picnic lunches. A vacation spot that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Great little find

The Pretty White House in Monterosso Al Mare is perfectly located to everything in the village. The beach is two minutes down from the house. Grocery stores, restaurants, gelato, pastry places, wine bar all so close to the Pretty White House. But the house is situated in such a way you have your privacy. It sits up on a hill in bewtween beautiful trees and plants. Giovanni (the owner ) is such a nice person to deal with. He is so accommodating and friendly. In such a short time staying there I feel I have a new friend. He was great with recommending restaurants and things to do there in Monterosso. The house does not have air conditioning, but in every room there are big windows that open up to get a nice breeze. Being from Upstate NY I was concerned about bugs coming into the house with all the windows open, but except for a couple little flies it was great. You hear the ocean at night , which is so relaxing. Now if you are the athletic type you will love the challenge of the hiking trails. My sons started the trails in Monterosso and continued on to the next two villages. It took about three hours and many many steps to climb. When coming back they took the train. Monterosso was our last stop on our Italy trip so it was perfect place to relax, go to the beach, eat, drink, and shop. The Pretty White House is at the end of one side of the beach and to get to the old town on the other side of the beach takes about a 25 minute walk. The train station is in the middle. I would definitely recommend the Pretty White House to everyone. You do have the option to cook, but why would you with all great food around you. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel then you will need to keep looking. If you are looking for a clean, cozy, reasonably price place with an owner who actually cares about you and making sure you have a wonderful time then the Pretty White House is the place to go.

Great beach home

We loved many things about this home. First loved having an easy place for our car - hard to come by in this area. We loved the location- kids enjoyed being so close to the beach and we enjoyed the more private setting just off the main tourist road. The property owner was very responsive and helpful and we had everything we needed. Traveling with kids we appreciated having two rooms each with 2 single beds and a 3rd parent bedroom. Be mindful this is a beach home - coming from HI we are very accustomed to the occasional sugar ant trail, ocean breeze and sweeping out the sand. If you love beach homes you’ll like this place.

Beautiful location and helpful host but the property needed a deep clean and was damp.

Could be a fabulous holiday stay as in a perfect location for beach, town and railway station. Needs some up dating and cleaning.

Secluded retreat steps from the beach

My husband and I stayed here with our 11 month old daughter and my husband's parents for three nights, May 15th - 18th. The pictures, while great, don't fully convey how wonderful this home is. The lower level, with the living area and kitchen, is cool and comfortable, with large windows that let the sea breeze in. The upper level, with ample sized bedrooms, is much the same. Everyone slept soundly in the very comfortable beds and enjoyed the sound of the waves with the windows open. The deck is bright and sunny and affords peekaboo views of the water. The dining terrace is absolutely sublime, set amongst the lush trees and fragrant jasmine. Each night of our visit, we thoroughly enjoyed sitting out there with a bottle of local wine, watching fire flies blink in the night, and listening to the joyful sound of the birds and waves on the beach. This is a detached, single family home, offering plenty of privacy, but is very conveniently located about a ten minute walk from the train station and about three minutes to the nearest public beach. In addition to the property being even more wonderful than we'd imagined, the host Giovanni and his associate Daria were warm and inviting. She was very kind to meet us at the train station to escort us to the property and give us a thorough orientation. We were very appreciative of the info sheet provided, particularly regarding details on operating the washing machine and recommendations for local restaurants. In short, our stay in Monterosso at the "Pretty White House" was absolutely sublime. If ever we have the opportunity to return, we would gladly stay here again. Our only regret is that we had to leave so soon. I really can't recommend this place enough!
