The Stables is a perfect getaway for any couple.

The Stables is a perfect getaway for any couple. We had such a lovely time there. We explored the local area which has many places to visit including Belvoir Castle and several nice country pubs which were ideal for a relaxed lunch or two. We also spent some lovely evenings snuggled up next to the log burner. In the early mornings we enjoyed watching the many and varied visitors to the bird table which included an adventurous squirrel who we named Tufty. It was a shame to have to leave but we are looking forward to a return visit in the near future.

We had a fantastic holiday in The Stables.

We had a fantastic holiday in The Stables. It is very stylish and comfortable with lots of lovely touches. The welcome hamper was fantastic. We really appreciated Natalie and Dan catering for my wife’s food intolerances. Our cocker spaniel was also extremely well catered for with treats and toys. The mud wash with hot and cold water was really useful after walks in the countryside. The Stables is in an idyllic setting with lots of lovely walks on the doorstep. It is well located for visits to a number of attractions, including Rutland Water, Belvoir Castle, Oakham and Melton Mowbray - to name a few.We thoroughly recommend a stay at The Stables and look forward to a return visit.

The Stables is located on a lovely quiet, country lane in a quiet village, but this is ideal for a good de-stress. In the cooler times of year it's wise to plan meals, shopping etc, as townies like me get too used to just popping out, and that could be a chore. The Stables is gorgeous, compact and cosy, and very well appointed. The bed and bedroom was comfy and we slept very well, and there was plenty of storage for a week stay. The shower is an over bath type, with a great rainforest shower. Kitchen -great appliances including dishwasher - just make sure that you read the guides- and it was well appointed with pots, pans, and nice sharp knives. I would have liked more cutting boards, and I felt bad that there wasn't a vent to prevent my cooking smells impregnating this lovely cottage!I was going to round off by saying "The clincher was..." but there were several... extremely dog friendly❤️, comfortable sofa, great log burner, great hosts, perfect welcome pack to name ones that come to mind.
