It has electric underfloor heating on the ground floor which keeps the house to 20 / 21 degrees constantly. A full forced air ventilation system with heat recovery changes the air in the house every few hours giving first class air quality. WiFi. Television in the lounge and master bedroom. Bed linen and towels provided. Welcome pack. Outside there are patio areas to the front and rear with small lawned areas. Driveway with parking for 3 cars. No Smoking or pets please.. This is a low, near zero energy house. It is all-electric with underfloor heating on the ground floor which keeps the indoor temperature to 20/21 degrees constantly.
A full forced air ventilation system with heat recovery changes the air every few hours and provides first class air quality. WiFi. Large windows and roof windows flood the rooms and stairwell with natural light. The ground floor is mostly open-plan, the only internal doors are are for the utility room and shower/WC. The L-shaped lounge has 5 settees/armchairs and a large dining table that easily seats 8. The kitchen has the usual appliances including a large fridge/freezer. The first floor has 3 generously sized bedrooms and the main bathroom which has a large walk-in shower as well as a bath. The landing is large with a small seating area which catches the morning sun.
The second floor has the master bedroom with ensuite shower and WC. The ceiling slopes as the top floor is built into the roof space. The roof windows have blinds which can keep out the daylight or moonlight as you wish. Also on the top floor is the services room which contains the hot and cold water systems, solar hot water, Solar PV generating system, ventilation system and rainwater re-cycling. This is kept locked shut for safety reasons. The rear garden has a paved area and small lawn. The noise from the M27 motoway intrudes into the back garden but cannot be heard inside the house. The front patio and garden area is much quieter and catches the morning sun. The house is fairly new and was constructed with a timber frame. There are a lot of timber beams and columns which have not been covered or painted, along with the stairs and balustrades. We wanted the main structural parts to be seen.
Whiteley village is a short distance away, it has a supermarket, M&S, fashion shops and coffee bars. Portsmouth, Southsea, and Southampton are about 20 minutes drive away. The New Forest, Bournemouth, and Chichester are within easy reach for a day out. The gunwarf area at Portsmouth has the Spinaker tower and a large number of restaurants and places to eat along with fashion shops and designer outlets. A short walk from there is the dockyard museum complex with historic ships and harbour tours by boat are available.
