This apartment is a dark, tiny basement apartment, advertised as a "loft" suitable for 4 people. It's 2 flights down a dark stairwell full of laundry and construction materials. It's a poorly designed space; the double bed has a noisy uncomfortable spring mattress, the tiny trundle bed not suitable for adults. There is no space to put away clothes and belongings, not a single shelf, drawer, or even hook. The "kitchen" is barely usable, it's mainly a division between the double bed and the sofa with no space to put away food items. You have to sit on the bed to open and use the microwave. The TV is wierdly by the kitchen division, with nowhere to sit and watch. The walls are supposed to be industrial style, but the unfinished walls with crumbling holes makes the apartment look like a homeless shelter (photos are very misleading)! There were cockroaches in the bathroom. The elevator did not work, although we tried many times with the virtual keys we had. There is supposed to be access to a rooftop terrace that is on the 6th floor, which is 8 flights up from the underground apartment, but without the elevator, it's hardly worth climbing up and down. When I tried to communicate my disappointment and ask for a solution from the owners, I received basically a dismissal of my concerns and no offer for a suitable alternative. Although we had booked the apartment for an entire week, we checked out early after 3 days and preferred the loss of our money to staying even 1 more day.
