Located in a village on the outskirts of St Austell, we are a perfect base for discovering Cornwall.
With over 400 beaches in this special county, miles of south west coastal path, and many other
attractions and places of interest, there is plenty to do, see and explore!
You are well located to visit a multitude of fabulous
beaches, picturesque coves, activities and attractions. You will be just 10 minutes drive from
the iconic Eden Project, 15 from historic Charlestown port, and 15 to 25 minutes from the
beaches of St Austell Bay, including Polkerris (a fantastic family beach with water sports hire
and lessons, pub and pizza restaurant, shop, rockpooling, harbour wall jumping and a pontoon
in the water spring to summertime), and the beautiful harbour towns of Fowey and Mevagissey
at each end of the bay (perfect for crabbing, fishing, boat trips, shopping, restaurants and
nearby beaches)
On the North coast, closest are the fantastic beaches of Watergate Bay and Mawgan
Porth, just 25 minutes drive. Newquay town (with it’s shops, restaurants, watersports activity
centre, zoo, and beaches), Perranporth, the impressive National Trust beaches of Holywell and
Crantock, and Padstow, with its beautiful ‘Seven Bays’ beaches nearby, are all 30 minutes drive
from the cottages.
Further afield, we are an hour away from the far North Cornwall of Bude and surrounding areas. Again, just an
hour, from St Ives in the South of the county, and an hour and a half from the most westerly
point of Lands End and the most southerly point of the Lizard peninsula, with the stunning world
renowned National Trust Kynance Cove beach.
