Dormie Cottage is almost 100 years old and is perfectly located within the backdrop of Mt Lochnager in Ballater - with the rolling hills and lush green landscape in front of you, it's easy to fall in love!
Whether you are coming for a round of Golf at Ballater Golf Club or spending some time enjoying the outdoors you will be in the PERFECT location at Dormie Cottage.
As you enter through the stone walls and private gates you will immediately be made aware of the incredible privacy of this property.
The natural light from the many windows and skylights in Dormie Cottage provides a light and comfortable feel, but also a cosy and warm environment. Lovingly remodelled in a contemporary traditional style, you are sure to feel right at home.
When the Scottish weather permits, enjoy outdoor dining by blending the indoor/oudoor living spaces by opening the large patio sliders of the living room to the backdrop of your large lush back garden and private patio area.
In the colder months, make sure you grab a bunch up of our freshly cut logs from our stacked and stocked log shed....prepare the fire, and cozy up for a relaxing and memorable night! The sound and smells of a crackling log fire are unbeatable and just one more reason why you should chose Dormie Cottage for your stay.
Walking trails, hiking, golf, mountain biking, skiing and other outdoor activities are all on your doorstep when you stay at Dormie Cottage. If you want to visit the Royal Family...Balmoral Estates is 5 minutes away and Balmoral Castle (where the Royal family stays) is only 15 minutes drive by car.
Located within walking distance of Dormie Cottage are cafes, restaurants and pubs. Make sure to check out the Old Railway Station...It might surprise you.
Also close by is the Historic Town of Braemar.
Depending on the time of year you are visiting. The Lecht and Glenshee Ski Center is only a stone's throw away making Dormie Cottage is the perfect location for your stay regardless of its purpose.
