Very enjoyable stay - great location and the log fire was welcome after much of the daytime spent exploring the outdoors. Very spacious too.

The cottage was beautiful, warm and cosy, there was plenty of wood for the lovely open fire.. It had everything that we needed. The bath was lovely to relax in after a days Skiing at Glen Shee. The town of Ballater was lovely with a good Indian restaurant and Chinese take away. We would definitely visit again.

Beautiful Cottage

How pleasantly surprised I was walking into this beautiful cottage.Everything was catered for. Everthing was to a high standard.I only stayed 2 nights would have stayed longer.Location was excellent and very quiet. The only advice I would give the host is to hold onto their cleaner . She did an excellent job.I will definitely return.

What a GEM!

We loved everything about our stay at Dormie Cottage! It was perfect for us and the best part was the fireplace! This is a great place for two adult groups traveling together as the bedrooms are very private and on opposite ends of the house. It is accessible, has two great bathrooms with a full stocked kitchen. It has a great living area, both inside and out. It was so nice on a chilly day to roam the Scottish Highlands and return to a large kitchen and a warm fireplace! The house is set back from the road and is very quiet and peaceful. If you have the chance, book this place! You won’t be sorry!
