About this property

Charming cabin with Fire pit, outdoor seating and grill, covered pavillion.

Looking to explore Coastal Georgia? Need a quiet place to unplug, relax, and recharge? This rustic cabin offers luxury and ammenites and is perfect for a romantic getaway, family reconnect trip, or weekend girls/guys vacation. It is located on 9 scenic acres that offers trees with hooting owls nestled in them, a tall bluff that meanders down to a long boardwalk that takes you through a cypress forest that ends at the Satilla River. At the river you can relax and just sit back and watch nature or read a book. We are a quick drive to top notch fishing spots. This cabin is off a 2.5 mile dirt road and 15 minutes to the closest restaurant and grocery story so expect to find peace and quiet and relaxation here. It is easy access with any vehicle despite the dirt road (which is county maintained regularly) and centrally located to Jekyll Island, Cumberland Island, Jacksonville, Brunswick , Okefenokee, and the Golden Isles. This cabin offers modern conveniences like DISH TV, a DVD player, and WIFI. It has been stocked full with movies, books, and games to help your family reconnect and relax. The cabin offers a spacious bedroom with queen bed, a private bathroom with custom slate floor and walk in shower. There is a fully stocked kitchen and a spacious living room that has a queen size futon. There is two windows seats perfect for cozying up to a good book. There are stairs to access the cabin. There is a private outdoor area behind the cabin with a firepit and outdoor seating and a grill. There is also a shared outdoor space consisting of a covered pavillion with picnic table, an additional grill, and an additional firepit with more seating.
The boardwalk to the river is also a shared space. This cabin is shared with one other home on the property. The owners/managers also reside there and understand your need for privacy so they can be as hands on or hands off as you prefer. And having someone on the same property the owners can take care of any issues quickly should they arise during your stay.
There is plenty of room for parking as we have a circular driveway and two large parking areas. Should you chose to bring a boat there is a boat launch about 15 minutes away. We have pets and yours are welcome as well with advanced approval and pet fee.

I go by Shelby and I am a sagittarius:) Which makes me a lover of travel and adventure . I like to write, read, eat really good food in really nice or really unusual restaurants, and listen to all kinds of music (country, jazz, blues, classical, old rock) I appreciate a finely crafted cocktail and prefer 'top shelf'. My husband and I have 10 horses (mostly quarter horses) and we like to trail ride at the beach and numerous state parks. I am a fan of camping. I would like to work on the 'glamping' thing. I work full time as a realtor in NE Florida. I specialize in St. Augustine which is the oldest city in the US! My work keeps me really busy but I like it as I get to work with buyers and sellers from all different walks of life and I get to see a lot of nice homes. I like renovation projects best as I love to see an old home with good bones get new life. In early life I grew up on 40 acres in Pennsylvania. I moved to S. Florida in the 80's and now live in St. Augustine, FL and White Oak GA

Why they chose this property

I love the coziness of the cabin with all of it's craftsman details and custom wood work. The window seats are perfect for curling up with a book. I also love the options for day trips to places like the Okeefenokee Swamp, Jekyll Island, etc.

What makes this property unique

The shared pavillion with amazing firepit, grill, and picnic area is very relaxing and a great way to enjoy the outdoors
