About this property
Cosy two-bed beach house, great location, one minute walk to Exmouth sea front
Beautifully designed, restful and relaxing, this newly renovated seaside-themed house has been tastefully fitted out to provide a lush backdrop to your coastal break.
It houses most items you expect in a home, so no need to pack the iron, or blender should you fancy a baking session. A real home from home.
Location
The house boasts of a great location, just one minute from stunning sea front views, looking out to Dawlish in the distance. There are two private parking places (which is a real bonus in Exmouth).
It's an easy walking distance to most of Exmouth's main attractions, including the stunning two miles of sandy beach (two minutes), the marina (five minutes), the cinema and town centre (eight minutes), Manor Gardens park, bowling ally, the leisure centre and pool, M&S Food hall and train station. Also right on your doorstep is the The Grove Pub and famous fish and chips eaterie Rockfish.
Amenities
There's a great variety of places to eat in and around Exmouth, from a good traditional fry up to Michael Caines' extremely fancy restaurant, Mickey's, situated on the sea front. Exmouth also boasts Nepalese, Spanish, Mexican, Chinese and Italian options, along with a lovely vegan cafe on the beautiful, pedestrianised town square called The Strand (which hosts a range of al fresco choices). Should you wish to indulge in a Devon clotted cream tea during your stay then you will be spoilt for choice.
On a more practical level there is a small shopping centre to pop to for any items you might need during your stay. Again, all less than 10 minutes walk from the house.
The seafront/beach
Exmouth beach is two miles of golden sand that stretches all the way from the marina to the red rock of the Jurassic coast. Along the Esplanade are water sports, ice cream parlours (with more flavours than you can dream of), a dinosaur-themed children's play park with food stalls, fish and chips and a milkshake stand, the Ocean bowling ally and restaurant plus a soft play too for rainy days.
Getting around
Exmouth has everything you need within walking distance for a short or long stay. But for those looking to explore, Exmouth train station boasts two trains an hour that run along the estuary. The first stop, Lympstone, is a picture-perfect Devon village that's well-worth a visit for lunch and a leisurely look around. You can also walk there in around 30 mins by using a local cycle path.
The trains from Exmouth run to Exeter Central station, with its large shopping centre and historic city centre, cathedral and green. The same line also takes you to Exeter St Davids station where you can change for other UK destinations including a 2hr 15 min link to London Paddington. You can also change trains here to explore Devon coastal towns such as Dawlish Paignton, Torquay and Newton Abbot.
