This was the dirtiest, most disgusting property I have ever seen. I have been waiting to review it because I wanted to see if the host would take care of us. Over two weeks later and their communication is still unresponsive. They do not care that the place was filthy. Every wall had stains and looked like they have never been cleaned. The kitchen still had food crumbs on the countertop. It smelled of smoke and there were numerous yellow dripping spots near the kitchen table where someone probably smoked with the humidity of cooking food. The living room rug was dingy and a book shelf was falling off the wall. The air vents were filthy. The trim was dusty and dirty. No bedroom looked like the pictures, instead they were barely made up with the throw pillows and blankets in the closets. VRBO was also largely unhelpful and offered only to have the place re-cleaned with a “response” given within 5 hours. With jet lag, we needed rest and couldn’t wait. In hindsight sight, the host never responded, neither did VRBO, within the 4 days we had booked and we had to stay elsewhere. This home needs a deep cleaning and repainting of the walls, trim and doors to get rid of the stains and smell of smoke. We knew that could not be accomplished within our stay period and we shouldn’t have to endure the inconvenience on a property that should be clean upon check-in. I have never seen a property this bad. I have never had a host that clearly didn’t care and wouldn’t (still hasn’t) respond.
