Wonderful house with a fantastic location and high standard in beautiful Lyr, west of Orust. (Reached by free car ferry, only 1 minute crossing, which runs regularly.) A perfect house for the larger family or group that wants to add a golden edge to life in a genuine Bohuslänsk environment. The house also includes a spacious and well-equipped guest cabin, wood-burning hot tub and own (shared with a neighbor) jetty with bathing ladder, patio and unobstructed location. In other words, a perfect house for groups with high demands on location and standard! Here the whole family will enjoy themselves and feel good in spring, summer, autumn and winter. The houses are located on a large, beautiful plot of land which consists of both a garden, a lawn for play and games and a natural plot bordering a forest where you have a good chance of seeing game. Here you get close to nature and silence, far from the noise of the city. Several patios where you can choose whether you want to sit in the shade or in the sun, the plot is beautifully delimited by a stone fence yard. Just enjoy the silence and the beautiful surroundings. The main house is on two levels, where the entrance level contains a modern, bright kitchen with a dining area, a living room with a warming stove, a library with a comfortable sofa bed, and a guest toilet and laundry room. Upstairs are the four bedrooms, two of which have a 180 cm wide double bed, one with a 140 cm wide double bed and a room with two single beds. There is also a TV room and exit to the balcony where you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. Fully tiled bathroom with walk-in shower and bidet. The pleasant guest house has a kitchenette with a dining area and a bathroom with a walk-in shower on the entrance floor. A flight of stairs leads to the charming bedroom/family room with high ceilings. Here there is a comfortable double bed (180 cm wide) and a sofa with a TV corner. Private terrace with a lovely relaxing wood-burning hot tub where you can enjoy yourself. Only 600 m to your oasis in the form of your own jetty (shared with neighbour) with bathing ladder and patio. Here you can spend the whole day or if you choose to start the day with a refreshing morning dip or finish with a lovely evening dip. Lyr, or Lyrön, is an island south of Orust. The island has been inhabited since the Stone Age, but today mostly summer residents live here. Here are chieftains' graves and burial mounds from the Bronze Age for those interested in history. The island does not have a shop, but there is, however, a very good fish shop & restaurant Bryggvingen, approx. 2.5 km away. Don't miss a visit here! They have their own fishing boat that lands their catch below the restaurant, so it couldn't be fresher. The island is to some extent a nature reserve and a lovely island to walk or cycle on. If you get tired of your own jetty, there are good bathing opportunities in several places, both beach bathing and cliff bathing. On the island you can also play mini golf, the course is only 400 m from your house. Around Lyrön there are also fantastic waters for kayaking. A few kilometers away are the three charming archipelago communities Hälleviksstrand, Mollösund and Nösund. In Hälleviksstrand, you should not miss a visit to Sjöbodscafét, which serves delicious sandwiches and pastries in a fantastic environment, in the middle of piers and boats. In Mollösund there are several good restaurants, cobbled streets with beautiful old houses and also a grocery store. Nösund has two fine bathing areas and the historic Nösund Inn with a good restaurant and entertainment by famous artists. Also, don't miss taking the ferry to the beautiful islands of Käringön and Gullholmen. To service and grocery store in Varekil or Ellös approx. 15-17km. If you are interested in shopping, you should not miss a visit to Göksäter in the middle of Orust with the bargain store Arvid Eriksson, which is popularly known as "Lilla Ullared".
