Heywood Cottage originally dates from the 15th century and has all the character and charm that comes with a building of this age. Our grounds are magnificent. You have three acres of garden to roam at your will, with river frontage, a table and chairs, and a bench down by the river`s edge. This area is a haven for walkers, cyclists, wildlife enthusiasts, and those who just want to chill out!

You have access to three acres of mature garden, lawns and river frontage. Parking is available for up to two cars and there is bike storage. You can even bring your horse (for an extra charge) if you`d really like to as we have four acres of paddocks!!
We are always on hand to help you with anything you require, so please don`t be afraid to ask.
Set within the New Forest National Park, which is a delight in summer, autumn, winter, and spring. Ponies, donkeys, cows, and pigs roam the forest. This is truly a fabulous place where you can walk or cycle for miles. Visit a riding centre for a ride across the forest or take a ferry across to the Isle of Wight!
There are lots of great restaurants and hotels close to us, ranging from child-friendly local pubs to Michelin-starred restaurants! Visit The Pig at Brockenhurst, Limewood, or Chewton Glen.

Trains go from Brockenhurst and Lymington, both a five minute car drive. Bournemouth and Southampton are only twenty minutes away and London takes 90 mins by train. You can get a Ferry from Lymington to the Isle of Wight as a foot passenger or with your car and once there, buses are a plenty!

Booking Policy
- Full payment is due 30 days before arrival and will be automatically charged to the card on file.
- If payment fails, it must be completed within 24 hours or the booking will be cancelled.
- Early payment is allowed (card fees up to 3% are non-refundable if cancelled).
Cancellation Policy
- Full refund if cancelled 30+ days before arrival.
- 50% refund if cancelled 14–30 days before arrival.
- No refund if cancelled within 14 days of arrival.
