Situated in the village of Lamlash, this stunning upside down, detached Swiss-style chalet boasts stunning views out over the water to the Holy Isle. For a unique experience, take a small ferry over to the Holy Isle and you will discover a friendly Buddhist community, where animals roam freely, including Saanen goats and Eriskay ponies. Lamlash Bay also offers sea kayaking and powerboat trips, so you can explore the bay at your own pace.
Local wildlife includes seals, often seen basking on rocks just offshore, otters, porpoises, and a variety of sea birds. A couple of miles south of the cottage, you will find the village of Whiting Bay with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and a useful range of small independent shops. Local amenities include Arran Art gallery with a pretty courtyard garden, a golf course, pitch ’n’ putt, and community activities throughout the season. A forestry trail leads to the spectacular Glenashdale Falls and the prehistoric Giant’s Graves. For refreshments, Felicity’s at Bar Eden, and The Shore both offer a vibrant spot for morning coffee and a tasty bite.
