Nice apartment in convenient location
The apartment is part of an historical villa with easy access to the downtown area (20 mins walk). It is very close to a grocery store, a pharmacy, a pizzeria and the best ice cream parlor in Belluno (all three minutes walk). The apartment is on two floors with bedrooms in the upstairs area. Two of the bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom. We had a pleasant stay except for the lack of a washing machine, the fact that the WiFi does not reach the second floor ( the walls are so thick in these old buildings!), and the fact that access to the beautiful garden was not permitted. Although we did not have a washing machine in the house there was a laundromat close by that we used a coupe of times. The machines dispense detergent softener and disinfectant so our laundry came out soft and very clean.Belluno is a jewel, mainly undiscovered, offering great hikes and daily excursions to the Dolomites. Food is excellent with many good restaurants sand pizzerias both downtown ( il Moretto e la fenice) and in surrounding areas ( la Nogherazza and il Borgo). One day we drove to the prosecco area ( 40 min drive) and ate at the Locanda Sandi which also has a wine shop. Their Cartizze bubbly wine is wonderful!Overall, a great week with very minor issues. The host was very responsive and came within 15 minutes of our check in to apologize for the fact that the cleaning crew had not done a thorough job due to a quick turnaround. She solved all our issues very promptly. We will be back!
