Light, spacious and homely 1-bed flat on the popular and vibrant North St. Fully equipped, lots of house plants and a roof terrace, walking distance to the centre. Ideal for solo travellers and couples.
Situated in one of the most artistic and proudly independent areas of Bristol, and above one of the best restaurants in the city. Close to both the centre and the beautiful surrounding countryside.
The space: The flat has a large double bedroom with king size bed, bathroom (shower over bath), fully equipped kitchen, living/dining room (with dedicated desk space), and a roof terrace (accessed from the bedroom). The space is homely and bright, with plenty of natural light and house plants. It's a corner property that overlooks the high street, so is right in the middle of action. However, it's still a residential area of the city and the flat is relatively quiet (the bedroom is at the back of the property away from the road). There are lots of plants and herbs on the roof terrace and over the summer months we enjoy growing a few vegetables, which guests are welcome to.
This is our home which we rent out whilst away (we travel lots for work), so there are our own belongings around. However, we lock the majority of our stuff away to provide space for you.
The property is above a restaurant, open Mondays-Saturdays until 10pm. It's a neighbourhood restaurant called COR, one of the best in Bristol that serves excellent food from renowned chefs. You can sometimes hear a little noise (kitchen prep, chatter, music, clearing up) but they are usually finished/out and locked up by 11:30pm. Any sound that occasionally leaks through is generally only audible when all other sound in the flat is at zero, i.e. you can't hear it when watching TV or having a conversation.
Location: Surrounded by great independent shops and cafes, and the famous street art of Upfest. A short walk to buzzing waterfront area Cargo and the city centre in one direction, and the countryside of Leigh Woods and Ashton Court the other (home of the annual hot air balloon fiesta). Plenty of small and medium size shops nearby (e.g. Co-Op, Lidl, Aldi), as well as independent grocers, delis, restaurants, cafes, vintage and record shops, etc. (including a great wine shop next door and esteemed restaurant below).
Transport: Walking distance to the centre (15-20 mins), opposite a bus stop, a short walk to local Bedminster train station, and 1.5 miles to Temple Meads. Also 5min walking distance to bus stop for Bristol Airport, a short 20 min drive away.
There is resident parking on the street, which is free on Sundays and between 5pm and 9am Mon-Sat. Permit required 9am-5pm Mon-Sat, which we can provide for £2.50/day for short stays, £1.50/day for long stays.
