Host was exceptionally friendly and helpful when we called for our entrance code. The room was clean, comfy, and lovely, perfect size for the two of us for a few days of skiing and exploring the area. Perfect distance from everything- 20 min to Caberfae, 20 minutes to Manistee, even closer to M-55 market (great spot!) and the Redneck Yacht Club. Thinking of coming back next year and making it a tradition!
Perfect location for our trip to the Manistee NF, which was only 5 minutes away. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The stove and full sized refrigerator were a definite plus. We'd definitely stay here again.
Bear Inn is our go-to place for get-a-ways from our busy lives. We love hanging out there and using it as a base camp to travel to Manistee, hiking trails and Traverse City. It's a blast!
This place was very clean and cozy. Great location for fishing. The beds were comfortable and clean. Living room was comfortable and clean.Good parking. Bathroom kinda tight but still nice. All around a good place to stay. Will book again next year.
Very cute rooms. More than i expected. We will stay again on a future trip.

Great value. Had everything and a cute cabin charm. Very good location to so many local places. Found that my sister rented the river location while I rented the black bear and both of us were so happy. Owner does an amazing job.
The furniture and beds were comfortable and not overly worn compared to other Vrbo properties we’ve stayed at. The unit is nicely updated. The amenities were more than expected. The price was spot on, although we didn't stay for the entire reservation due to weather not cooperating with our snowboarding plans.
We love this property and the coziness of the cabins, however, this time was a little less comfy. The beds really got to us this time. We should've got the room with bigger beds. I'll remember next time.
The cost great. The property was clean! Although, the road noise from the vehicles driving by was terrible. With that said my wife and I did sleep very well. If noise wouldn't be a bother then this is a clean and cost friend place to stay! PS add largers TV's :)
We love the Black Bear Inn. This was our 3rd time visiting. The place was very clean and comfortable. They have many outdoor games, however we go to fish and gamble. I can’t recommend this place enough. Hop skip and jump to Lake Michigan and Manistee. The hosts are wonderful.
The property was clean and easy to find. The check in process was very easy. We had everything we needed in the unit and the bed was pretty comfy! The only downside was the size of the shower but other than that we had a great stay and the unit was well put together and convenient!
This place is amazing! Host provided coffee, snacks, toiletries, and much more. Extremely clean. Comfortable beds and great living area furniture. Outside area is very nice, grills, firepit, picnic tables. Will stay again.
