About this property

Villa in Montanaro with 6 bedrooms sleeps 12

TRULLO DELLE DAME
An oasis of Apulian elegance among ancient olive trees, Mediterranean light and modern comfort
There is a moment at sunset when the Itria Valley is bathed in honey and coral colours. The silver foliage of the olive trees glows, the air is filled with the scent of the macchia and the silence is velvety soft. It is in this poetic chiaroscuro that the Trullo delle Dame was created: a small village of stone cones and white lamia, restored with almost monastic reverence and designed for those seeking the slow pleasure of well-made things. It is the meeting point between rural building wisdom and contemporary design that prioritises comfort: natural materials, invisible technology, spacious rooms inside and out, and a saltwater swimming pool that reflects the sky.
Trullo delle Dame is more than a “villa”; it is a narrative home: it tells of ancient crafts, of stones warmed by the sun, of breakfast in the open air under a pergola of reeds and vines. Here, time stretches out without haste: you listen to the song of the crickets, caress the living stone, dine by candlelight while the rays of the moon pierce the blue.
Enchanting geography
We are in the heart of the Valle d'Itria, among dry stone walls, white farmhouses, lush vineyards and trulli scattered across the landscape. Not far away are the villages that symbolise northern Salento: Alberobello with its fairy-tale cones, Ostuni nestled white on the hills, Cisternino with its flower-adorned balconies, Martina Franca with its Baroque palaces. The Adriatic Sea is just a few kilometres away: bays with crystal clear water, well-equipped beaches and fish restaurants where time seems to stand still, enveloped by the scent of the sea and fennel.
Outdoor spaces: where the sky becomes your living room
Traditional stone architecture thrives on light, shade and thresholds; Trullo delle Dame reveals its welcoming character with an 850 m² solarium, punctuated by fragrant flower beds and light-coloured stones that highlight the white cones. The centrepiece is the saltwater swimming pool (approximately 75 square metres) with a depth of up to 1.40 metres and a gently sloping “coastal area” for those who want to enter the water slowly or let their children play safely. In addition, an outdoor shower and a separate toilet make sunny days even more enjoyable.
Under the stone rotunda – a pavilion with perfect geometry – there is a large table for 14 people, which can be extended to 17: here you can dine in the open air, with a wood-fired oven and a barbecue ready to spread the scents of straw and rosemary. A wireless sound system provides subtle background music among the linen cushions and sun loungers by the pool, while lanterns cast golden trails in the darkness.
Paddle tennis court (for exclusive use). Enthusiasts will find a real bonus here: the paddle court is available for the exclusive use of the accommodation. Morning training sessions among the olive trees, games at sunset, lessons on request: the court is a private stage where you can enjoy yourself freely and without interruption.
Note on additional services
The open-air cinema is not included: it is available on request as an extra service and is perfect for film screenings under the stars.
Interior design: where comfort becomes art
Inside, stone cones create antique thicknesses and soft curves; lime plaster, cement tiles, wood panelling and light filtered through slits give the room warmth and character. A central living room with large sofas and a smart TV invites conversation and cosy reading; adjacent is the dining area, equipped with a modern kitchen with hob, oven, fridge and freezer, ice cube machine, kettle, toaster and private coffee machine, designed for both simple family meals and more formal occasions.
The five bedrooms, five retreats
Rest is a ritual, and here, each room is a small world unto itself. Five double bedrooms, all with king-size beds that cannot be converted into single beds, private bathrooms with large showers and smart TVs. The spacious rooms retain their intimacy and tranquillity:
Bedroom 1 – 29 m² · En-suite bathroom with shower, smart TV
Bedroom 2 – 29 m² · En-suite bathroom with shower, smart TV
Bedroom 3 – 23 m² · En-suite bathroom with shower, smart TV
Bedroom 4 – 22 m² · En suite bathroom with shower, smart TV
Poolside annex – 27 m² · Double room with en suite bathroom, perfect for people who want to be independent or for couples with different schedules
The entire house has underfloor heating and air conditioning in every room, so you can enjoy exactly the comfort you want in every season. High-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the house and outside, ideal for people who work remotely or just want to stay connected to the world. To complete the picture, there is a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer, making it easier to organise a longer stay.

Typical days: between relaxation and small adventures
Morning. You are awakened by the bright light of the Apulian summer; the breakfast table is already set under the pergola. The welcome basket contains taralli and jam, fragrant fruit and a dash of new oil: a peaceful start to the day that you can enjoy at your leisure.
