Great location for restaurants and access to the metro. BUT...a myriad of concerns including an absolutely disgusting odor of sewage and mold in the bathroom that could not be removed. When notified the first day shortly after we arrived, they did respond quickly and sent over a spray can of air freshener. It did not help. The next day they had someone flush the drains with hot water and a cleaning solution. That worked a few hours, but the obnoxious odor returned. We continued to reach out to customer service and the apartment manager to inform them of this intolerable situation, but apparently they do not have an emergency contact during after-hours nor over the weekend. We were unable to use the bathroom (except for the toilet) due to the putrid smell. We are not impressed, nor satisfied at all, with how this is being handled, and would NOT recommend this unit. This casts great doubt on using Belvilla in the future. The other concerns were one of the large sliding closet doors in the bedroom was out of the bottom track sitting at an angle when we arrived. To use the closet, I had to place the door back in the track. The bathroom exhaust vent has unsightly mold on it. Next to it, the opening in the ceiling to the skylight is full of peeling paint. The kitchen sink faucet is very loose at the base. The kitchen butcher block counter is warped and splitting around the sink due to exposure to water. In addition to being informed that the unit is on the 3rd floor, the description should also include a statement saying that there are three flights of stairs to access the unit. This unit has great potential, but is far from "charming"!
