This ground floor apartment has full disabled access, two en suite double bedrooms, one of which can be configured as a twin on request and a spacious open plan living, kitchen and Dining area that can seat up to 10 people, ideal if you are booking The Hayloft upstairs meaning 10 people can be accommodated within the small complex.

Outside, there is a tranquil seating and barbecuing area overlooking the river as well as storage for bicycles, kayaks and other outdoor pursuit kit with a drying room and wash down space.

The apartments are ideally located within Laxey Village, just a short walk from Laxey Tram station where the historic Manx Electric Railway has been operating for over 130 years. The village of Laxey is situated on the Eastern coast of the Isle of Man, eight miles to the north of Douglas, the Isle of Man’s capital. It’s name is of Scandinavian origin and translates to “Salmon River”, from the abundance of salmon found in the river which flows down the slopes of the Island’s only mountain, Snaefell, to the picturesque bay with its tiny harbour. A five minute walk will take you to Laxey Beach and Harbour or even to The Great Laxey Wheel, which is the largest working water wheel in the world.

Lounge area: Two large corner sofas, two coffee tables, TV. Ideal space for up to 10 people.

Kitchen: Fully equipped with induction hob, oven, microwave and fridge/freezer. Seating for 10 at dining table.

Bedroom 1 : King size bed (which can split into twins on request), bedside cabinets, built in wardrobe with pull out cubes.

En-Suite: Fully disabled access wet room, WC with grab handles and wash hand basin.

Bedroom 2: Double bed, bedside cabinets, built in wardrobe with pull out cubes.

En-Suite: Walk in shower, washbasin and WC.

Parking: Private parking is available directly outside, shared with The Hayloft. Plentiful on-street parking is also available.

Mobility: The Stables has two bedrooms, one of which has been designed to NAS M2 standards. This double bedroom has an en suite wetroom with a huge single level shower and French doors on to the garden. The other bedroom (not M2 rated) also has an en suite wetroom and can be arranged as one king size bed or two child singles.

Damage: Important! We are committed to protecting our properties which is why we now take a £35 fee from each booking as a damage waiver. This is included in the price you pay and covers you for up to £500 worth of accidental damages to the property that could occur whilst you are staying.

Relaxing idyllic break

Really spotless, modern, spacious and well appointed accommodation. Perfect location for visiting Isle of Man's two main attractions as well as one of its 18 glens on foot and rest of island by car. Four days insufficient to see everything we wanted to, we very much hope to come back.

Nice Apartment, Not Completely Ideal for Disabled Person.

The apartment is very nice. Clean & modern. However the settees are so low my Husband couldn’t get back up to a standing from sitting position. He in fact spent the whole week using his wheelchair in the lounge area. Perhaps a riser recliner chair would be a good addition. The wet room however was fine. The kitchen had most of the basics however I found it badly laid out, nothing seemed to be in the appropriate easily accessible position. The beds were quite comfortable, overall a decent apartment but I doubt we would stay there again. Also there is a lot of noise from people walking right past your windows adjacent to the road and cars driving past. Re noise, the soundproofing between the upstairs and downstairs apartments is seriously lacking, we could hear every time the people upstairs moved or walked across the floor. If children were running around up there it would be intolerable. Parking was adequate.

Spotless, great location,great attention to detail everything has been thought of ..Home from home. I would thoroughly recommend and look forward to another visit
