About this property
Beautifully Restored 7 Bedroom Olive Mill with Private Pool in it's own Forest
Dating back to 1890, the Olive Mill must have stories to tell. The Wow Factor hits you as soon as you enter the spacious hall with full height beamed ceilings and fabulous tiles. Sleeping up to 14 guests, downstairs are two bedrooms (both en-suite), a farmhouse kitchen and dining room, whereas upstairs (off the mezzanine) are a further 5 bedrooms (all with en-suite bedrooms). Every room has large picture windows which look across the gardens and flood the house with light. The fabulous Entrance Hall (with the original press still in situ) can be used for yoga retreats.
All the bedrooms have been lovingly designed with antique iron beds, fluffy duvets and fine thread Egyptian cotton bedding. Pretty throws provide a splash of colour. Occasional antique wardrobes and chests of drawers have been chosen with care to compliment their surroundings. Every bedroom has shuttered windows with views across the private swimming pool and surrounding gardens.
There is a large private pool surrounded by pretty sun loungers and a wood fired hot tub!
The Olive Mill nestles in extensive grounds surrounded by oak, chestnut and poplar trees in the Sierra de Aracena Natural Park in an extraordinarily beautiful landscape. You will feel very peaceful here with the only sound being that of birdsong - there are over 130 different species of birds in this area. There are plenty of eating areas dotted around the gardens where you can eat al-fresco. Deer will come to drink from one of the streams.
Feel free to pick a lemon for your gin and tonic! You can jump into the pool, join a mushroom hunting tour, make friends with the llamas (Pinky and Perky) or rescue donkeys (Daisy and Dolly), or just enjoy the solitude and fabulous surroundings which are all just for your private enjoyment. Let us spoil you. A true Midsummer Nights Dream.
Although only an hour from Seville you are in a different world where the pace is slow and the food local. Your nearest town is only 10 minutes away with a choice of excellent restaurants.

About the host
Hosted by Tamar Ferguson

I have always loved rescuing old homes and transforming them into something magical while retaining their original essence.
For many years, I have scoured antique fairs and markets, searching for that perfect piece of art or sculpture to complete the style puzzle and restore these neglected homes to their former splendor. As a fervent believer in the Farm-to-Fork philosophy and mindful of our carbon footprint, much of the produce we provide to our guests is home-grown and very much seasonal.
Juan and I share our home with a growing menagerie of horses, goats, donkeys, peacocks and wild deer. Our love of animals has fuelled my other passion in saving abandoned creatures – our latest additions (now in situ at the Olive Mill) are 2 Llamas (Pinky and Perky) and 2 Donkeys (Daisy and Dolly).
