Avoid This Apartment – Unsafe, Unclean, and HostileThis was one of the worst accommodation experiences I’ve ever had. No taxi or local could find the building. It took over an hour to locate it, and the host ignored 18 of my calls. We were charged 200 for one extra night despite the listing saying 150.The building was awful — dark, crumbling, with a broken lift and unsafe vibes. The apartment itself felt rushed: scratched furniture, poor layout, no towels, toiletries, or cleaning supplies. The WiFi didn’t reach all rooms, TV wouldn’t connect, the door often jammed, and rubbish was found under the couch.The worst part was the security. After we notified the host in advance about a friend joining us later in the trip, she was treated aggressively and forced to leave. Security threatened to call the police, and the host demanded her passport. She had to leave and travel hours away to join family, ruining her holiday.I’ve travelled to 22 countries — this was by far the most uncomfortable and unwelcoming stay I’ve ever experienced. Would never recommend this place. That said, Egypt itself was incredible and worth visiting — just stay somewhere else.The rooms aesthetic was amazing, furniture was well picked and good lighting and aircon. Everything else just ruined the whole experience…
