Very Accommodating Staff

Very pleasant stay in a mountain house. We have great fun and enjoyed our time. We got caught in high winds and snow and the care from the staff to keep roads cleared for travel was above and beyond.

I can't say enough good things about this cabin, roomy, well stocked and the hosts were fantastic! Even brought us foil so we wouldn't have to go to town. 5 stars!

Cozy cabin

Nice cabin. Plenty of warmth from numerous heat sources to warm it up on cold winter days and nights. The stove was a little scary and we couldn't get hot tub bubbles, but we had a great time. Great location for skiing.

A slice of WY beauty

We had a great stay at this property. We had a group of 6 adults The house was spacious, offered good sized gathering spaces and private areas which is always appreciated on longer trips. We had a small gathering after the UW grad program and the attendees loved the house and vistas. Great service provided by the owners. Very easy to get in contact with/responsive and quick to act. Thanks for the wonderful location.

Lots of character!

Loved the location near Snowy Range. Very nice appliances and furnishings. Great communication with host and great response when we couldn't figure out hot tub. House needs a bit of fine tuning, but very nice for the most part.

Friendly Owners, Good Location, Needs some TLC

Owners were friendly and easy to communicate with and the location was perfect for skiing/snowmobiling. My main issue was the price for the quality of the property. I paid the price of a high quality property, but it was obvious the property was in the midst of being upgraded. Heating was the main issue, the furnace really only heated the upstairs and the fireplace and pellet stove that are meant to heat the downstairs were both not working. It'd be 75-80 degrees upstairs and 55-60 degrees downstairs. The hot tub hadn't been filled recently, it looked to be about 4 inches lower than it should. The stove was dirty and some burners didn't even work.Overall, I'd come back just because the owners were so nice and it was a great location, but probably wait another year or so until they can fine tune the quality of some of the more important things.

Got Stuck in Snow, A Warning Would be Nice

Overall, this is a really neat little cabin, with just about everything you would need. Outdoor dining set was covered in snow and not usable. We did bring burgers to grill and were disappointed that the grill on the porch was not working due to a missing piece. However, there was a nice kitchen and we worked it out. Got stuck several times in the driveway in snow in a sedan. At least they had a tow rope handy! Shovels on hand would have been nice too. Mouse droppings in some of the less-used kitchen drawers was a turn-off, especially with a $100 per party cleaning fee. Beautiful views and quiet atmosphere.

Family had a great time!

We went for a short 'between Christmas and New Year's' trip with three children and seven adults. The house was comfortable and quirky! We loved the location; there was lots of room to stroll around the neighborhood and it was close to skiing and snowshoeing. The hot tub was perfect and was used often. The kitchen was well-stocked. Fortunately, Mark came by and told us how to use the oven (one of the quirks) because we had a birthday girl who needed a cake. Mark was very personable and helpful. We had three dogs with us and the house was very accommodating and pet-safe. The only challenge we had was the heat. When downstairs was cozy and comfortable, which for us is around 65-68 degrees, the upstairs was very hot and made it difficult to sleep. We had to run the ceiling fan and open a window. Overall, we had a very memorable time and are discussing another trip in the summer!

Always perfect

This was our second stay at this cabin. Upon arrival, it was sparkling clean, the pellet stove was fired up, lights were on, and it felt like getting home. We absolutely love staying here. It’s cozy, comfortable, and casual. The owner, Mark stopped by shortly after we unpacked just to introduce himself and say hello. The property manager, Fancie is always prompt with responding and so helpful and friendly. Our last night there, the wind was blowing a gale and there were brutal ground blizzards but the cabin was toasty warm and it felt so cozy and safe. We’re so grateful we found a wonderful place that allows our dog as well. He was so relaxed this time, like he felt at home too. We love the enclosed, gated porch. Our dog can sit our on it without his leash and watch the world. Snowy Range ski resort is less than 10 minutes away which is a huge bonus to us. The hot tub is great. It’s not super high tech and modern but it’s very clean and feels fantastic after skiing. We love that there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms so we have plenty of space. The master suite is the whole upstairs and has its own living area with TV which is really nice for a tired mom! As I stated in my previous review, if you’re expecting extravagant, brand new, and super fancy, you’ll be disappointed. If you’re expecting beautiful views, comfort, coziness, and everything you need to have an enjoyable, relaxing getaway, you’ll love it as much as us!

Hot Tub

The Hot Tub was a big disappointment for us all. When we arrived, it was low on water, not clean and very Hot. The hose to add water was frozen. This system is far past its useable life to me and should not be advertised as such. We did not wish to use it. After a visit from manager the temperature was somewhat corrected, but we really did not enjoy it at all. It never got used! The Front Porch and Grill was loaded with clutter and should be cleared to better represent the photos on VRBO. Snow removal (lack of it) would have been a big problem if we had not been in vehicles capable of pushing through it. Guests need to be willing to shovel/blow snow themselves...which we are. Any other guests, most likely would have never made it to the front door. That said, it snowed every day...and this was awesome! Lastly, the Stove Top, Vent Hood above it, and the Gas Grill on the Porch do need a very good cleaning. Overall, we all had a great time and said to ourselves..."we would gladly stay here again next season". We had a great vacation in Centennial Skiing and Snowmobiling, and the kids loved their first trip the Snowy Range. Thanks Mark & Fancie.

Nice location, but.......

The house is at a nice location beautiful scenery unfortunately It is not worth what they are charging per night. Photos are fairly well taken but the actual house does not live up to the photos. Upon walking in we found the supplemental heat for the house is a blue flame wall hanging non vented Propane heater. Then we move into the kitchen where we open the refrigerator to find that it is completely trashed full of exploded old food and soda, called the house manager she did come up promptly and clean it but the fact that no one looked in the fridge after the other renters and/or cleaned up is unacceptable. Then we move on to the range, After the range would not turn on I did some looking around to see if maybe just the gas was shut off to find a 20 pound propane cylinder underneath the stove in the cabinet running the range OMG this is insane. Next we walk in to the lower bathroom to find out the toilet is either frozen or not working coincidently right after someone had used it. We did get that working thank God I'm a property manager and have some knowledge about this kind of thing and got it working myself. This is all within the 1st 20 minutes mind you. Finally it was so hot upstairs in the master bedroom even with 2 windows open that it was unsleepable. Tryes to shut off the furnace upstairs it would not. Looking around for maybe a breaker Box to shut the furnace down and underneath the stairs on the 1st level found the breaker Box with tangled wires hanging out all over it and no cover on it, completely a fire hazard. Apparently there must be no UDC building codes in the state of Wyoming this place is a deathtrap and I would not recommend anyone staying there until everything is addressed and the house is inspected. I did take pictures of everything I will not be posting them on here but the owner needs to get this house together before renting it ever again.

Close to Beautiful Medicine Bow National Forest!

Comunication with the site-host, Fancie, was really great!! She was quick to respond every time I reached out.The property was a bit run down and in an area with other run-down houses. But, it was clean and had plenty of supplies, including towells and bedding for our family. It was just 10 minutes to a lot of beautiful scenery in the Medicibe Bow National Forest. We would stay here again.

The Christmas tree house

Overall our stay was good. Although the ceiling fan and light did not work in one bedroom and we couldn’t get the WiFi to work so no tv. Also there are no bigger serving spoons only tablespoons. The house setup was nice!
