This would have easily been a 5-star review but for the inaccuracy of the property location listing. This property is located on Elephantine Island, not in Aswan proper as listed. If you’re packing with big roller bags, be aware of the walk to this guesthouse. It’s all dirt paths. That said, everything else was great. The place is clean, spacious and quiet. The host’s mom was as sweet and caring as could be. She cooked delicious breakfasts every morning and even volunteered to do some laundry for us. This Nubian island is an amazing cultural experience that should be on everyone’s bucket list.
