Relax in quiet countryside at Masseria San Biagio, a beautiful estate just 5 minutes from Calimera in the heart of Salento. This modern house has been created in a traditional style with elegant outdoor spaces where guests can enjoy their charming gardens and terraces. It is the perfect base for a couple or 3 guests who want to explore this lovely part of Puglia.

This spacious, ground-floor bedroom has an independent entrance off the main courtyard. It is furnished with a double bed, a single bed, drawers, a writing table, a wardrobe, a coffee maker and a flat-screen TV. There is also an en suite bathroom.

Masseria San Biagio’s gardens and outside spaces have been created with as much care and attention as the interiors. Guests can enjoy breakfast outside, with honey from the bees on the estate and homemade marmalade. The owners have laid out different paths around the grounds, which range from the scents path through aromatic herbs and flowers; to the historical path which leads to the chapel of San Biagio which is over 1000 years old and the fitness path for more energetic guests.

Location
If you can tear yourself away from the tranquil gardens then the historic centre of Calimera is just a 5-minute drive. The town is known for its traditional white houses as well as palaces and beautiful churches. Calimera’s weekly market takes place on Thursday and is the best place to pick up the freshest local delicacies and experience authentic Puglian life.

Salento’s most beautiful beaches are all within easy reach. The beaches at Otranto (25 minutes), Porto Cesareo (45 minutes) and Gallipoli (45 minutes) are known for their pristine sea and shallow waters, ideal for younger children and snorkelling.

Golfers will enjoy the two courses near the town of Acaya (20 minutes) or for more exercise and a hike through unspoilt Mediterranean countryside, there is the WWF nature reserve of Le Cesine (25 minutes).

The closest airport is at Brindisi - just 55 minutes away by car. Please note that the pool is open from the 1st of June 2025 to the 1st of September 2025
