First day issues
There were a few standout features on the property I had booked, mainly for my children. Unfortunately, along with no WiFi for first 24 hours, I didn't get the villa I had booked. There are some saving graces which avoid 1 star rating.The host appointed an agent to meet me, they sent their children who did not speak any English. They placed me in the adjoining villa to the one I had booked, without the features of my original booking. I tried to explain this, and the lack of internet and whilst it was frustrating, the host did agree to meet me the following afternoon and confirmed IF I was in the wrong villa I would be moved and refunded that night.The host met me at around 1500. They fixed the internet and provided a back-up mobile router. They also moved the table tennis from the adjoining property. They explained that my property was not suitable and had damage which was being repaired by the owners family. They continued partying during the day (which I don't blame them for) and working late into the evening throughout the 4 nights preparing the original villa. After some haggling, I agreed to remain in the new villa and they refunded the first night.The villa itself was fantastic, modern and spacious. There were some cleanliness and prep issues where you could see it was hastily assembled but nothing I couldn't live with.My main problem was of course the lack of communication and understanding on that first night as this information could have been shared earlier.
