Amazing stay & great location,

We had a wonderful 2-night stay in Athens! The property exceeded our expectations in every way. It was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the city. The location couldn't be better – just a 5-minute walk from the metro station, making it so convenient to get around and visit all the top attractions. We were truly impressed with the hospitality and comfort, and we highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Athens. Can't wait to return!

The location was very difficult to get to and find. Taxi driver had to drop us off a block away and we had to drag our large luggage to the location. Then we had to lift our luggage up 16 steps then 2 more curved stairs to get to the elevator. Our arrival was met by an empty apartment and our host denied us early access to drop off our luggage…. Not very helpful especially after a 12 hour flight. Then our scheduled check-in time was delayed so we missed our Viator city tour that afternoon. So overall his hospitality sucked. His only compensation was to refund the cleaning fee. Also there was no information about the area we were staying at.We had to wait outside the empty apartment till the cleaning lady showed up at 5:30 pm while we arrived at 10 am in the morning.

Hi Geoff, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’d like to clarify a few points, as some of your comments may give a misleading impression to future guests. The address is very clear and easy to locate, you received both the full address and a direct Google Maps link, which makes navigation straightforward. If your driver took a wrong turn, unfortunately, that’s beyond my control. Regarding the steps, the listing clearly states there are stairs and specifies how many, so this information was available to you before booking. You also requested access to the apartment at 10 a.m., even though you knew that the check-in is at 3 p.m. and another guest was still staying there. As I’m sure you understand, I couldn’t ask them to leave earlier so you can check in. Before your check-in, I informed you about a delay caused by an unexpected accident involving the cleaning team, and as an apology, I offered a €40 compensation, which you accepted and thanked me for. Finally, I provided you with detailed local recommendations, including restaurants, cafés, attractions, transportation, and luggage storage options, along with the map link. It’s therefore surprising that you mentioned knowing nothing about the area, as all this information was shared well in advance to help you make the most of your stay. Thank you again for your feedback,but I think you should have mentioned all the above too. Best

Taxis are not allowed on Miltiadou so they drop you off at the top of the hill and you have walk about 100 meters to find it. Twenty five marble stairs before you get to the elevator so not great for hauling luggage or for those with limited mobility. Marble shower floor is very slippery as are the stairs. We slipped on both and fell. There were no ice cubes in freezer because it needed defrosting. Furnishings were clean, adequate and location was good.

Miltiadou is a pedestrian street, so taxis can only drop guests off at the nearest accessible point, which is approximately 50 meters from the property. As for the stairs before the elevator, this is part of the building’s original construction and unfortunately not something we are able to modify. Regarding the slippery surfaces, we have not received similar comments before, but we will certainly look into it to ensure everything is as safe as possible. The freezer issue was due to a scheduled defrosting, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We’re glad to hear that you found the furnishings clean and the location convenient, and we appreciate your suggestions as they help us improve.
