Jurassic Properties invites you to stay at our peaceful cottage overlooking the Dorset coast, with parking, just a short walk into the centre of Lyme Regis and the beautiful seafront.
Situated on Ware Cliffs that overlook Lyme Bay, our cottage sleeps 4 people offering a homely living and dining area with views out towards the sea. The cottage has a secure garden area (for your furry friends to run around if you decide to bring them!) as well as alfresco dining and car parking.
The location of this property is perfect for families wanting that little bit more space, as well as being slightly out of the hustle & bustle Lyme Regis provides in the peak months.
The cottage provides an idyllic, peaceful and quiet place to unwind, as well as giving space for families to nestle into for their holidays to Dorset.
Cliff View Cottage is perfect for families wanting a UK summer holiday by the sea, a long weekend away to the Dorset coast or couples and solo travellers looking for a well-sized, dog friendly place to stay to explore the Jurassic Coast. The property is all on the same floor with no stairs required. The cottage has its own front door and a car parking space (which are extremely rare in Lyme Regis!).
Inside, the interiors are a very traditional and cosy cottage feel, with two good sized bedrooms (one being a double, and the other providing two single beds). The bedrooms have a soft, luxurious carpet underfoot, and both have bay windows looking out towards Ware Cliffs and the sea. There are two bathrooms, one that provides full shower, toilet and sink close to the kitchen and the other offering a toilet and hand washing sink.
The kitchen has everything you could want for your holiday away, with a generously sized fridge, nespresso machine for those morning coffees, a toaster, kettle, hob/oven and microwave.
The living area is homely, again with a beautiful view out to Ware Cliffs and the Jurassic Coast, with a comfy sofas, a dining table, smart TV for those cosy family evenings in, as well as a desk with fibre internet for any who like to work remotely. We’ve provided a selection of board games and puzzles, as well as books/magazines on the local area.
The garden area is very well sized, private and secure. With bursting evergreens, high hedges and an alfresco dining table and chairs, this is perfect for your summer evneings and gets the sun setting late into the day. There will also be a hosing off area for the sandy gear (and your furry friend if they need it!)

We had a lovely fortnight at Cliff View Cottage. Beautifully furnished & well equipped, in a lovely, quiet setting. There was a slight problem with the wi-fi on arrival, but Ed the Property Manager quickly sorted it out. But do note the mobile signal is also a little patchy at times. It wasn't particularly clear from the listing that it is actually attached to the owners property though, so there are a few additional rules, but that didn't particularly bother us.The garden is fully secure for dogs, has a nice sea view, & large patio set for al fresco dining. Also very nice to have a dedicated parking space.
Everything about our stay at Cliff View was perfect. It was a real home from home stay and perfect for our family holiday. The house is well equipped and furnished to a high standard and extremely comfortable. You also have use of a lovely garden. It is attached the owners house which isn’t obvious in the photos but that wasn’t a problem and it didn’t feel like we were sharing space. The property is based at the top of Lyme Regis with a steep hill to walk up and down but there is a scenic route through the fields beneath the property down to Monmouth Beach. We had no problem parking in many of the towns car parks if we wanted to drive. You are spoilt for choice for restaurants, each meal we had was excellent. Recommend a drive to Hive Beach Cafe in Burton Bradstock for amazing seafood. We would definitely return to Lyme Regis and would stay again at Cliff View.
