About this property
Carryglen, Crieff - 4 bedrooms & 4 bathrooms
Carryglen is a beautifully furnished and inviting retreat in the centre of Crieff, set amidst spectacular Perthshire scenery. Our cosy house is perfect for those who are looking to get away from it all and relax. Being centrally located in Scotland, it's a great place to meet up & spend time with friends/family you don't see often enough. It’s ideal for when you’re attending a wedding in the area. Or if you love adventure, why not come back to Carryglen after a day exploring the great outdoors.
"This house is absolutely perfect in every way!! Great location, easy to find and get parked. It’s a 5 minute walk into the town centre and a 5 minute walk to a pretty impressive play park! Very close to local swimming pool and Crieff Hydro. Extremely accommodating - there was a travel cot, high chair and a couple of toys for our kids in their bedroom after I asked something to do with kids the host offered to put these in the house to save us taking our own. It is great for families and without children too! The house was so clean and everything in it is beautiful! I wouldn’t hesitate to book again! The kitchen has a massive table which was great for eating at and playing card/board games in the evening. We literally cannot fault this place or the host as she was so prompt in replying to all our questions. Plus the are plenty of bathrooms and the beds were so comfy! The heating and locking the door are so easy to work too!!"
Ground Floor
Enter Carryglen through the private main entrance where you'll find pegs to hang your coats and a rack to store your footwear. Bedroom one (Tummel) is large, light and airy with a solid oak, french style kingsize bed and matching furniture.
Go further along the hall and you'll reach the lovely living room. The full length recess windows make the room bright and sunny but it retains its cosy feel with soft furnishings and a wood burner. Inside the coffee table there are playing cards, games, puzzles etc. Or simply relax whilst surfing the internet using the free WIFI or enjoy watching Sky TV curled up on the couch.
Lower Ground Floor
Downstairs, you'll find a spacious and well kitted out kitchen with range cooker, fridge with ice box, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and beautiful country style crockery (washing machine in the small utility cupboard). There is a large dining table that seats 8 people comfortably plus a highchair. Perfect for enjoying long breakfasts/lunches and being able to chat with your family/friends while you prepare dinner or alternatively, eat a take away. From the kitchen, access the small courtyard garden, with table and chairs, which is a sun trap even on a colder day.
Across the hall is the fourth bedroom (Tay) with solid oak kingsize bed and matching furniture, and an ensuite bathroom.
First Floor
Upstairs, off the top landing, you'll find a shower/wet room with rainfall shower head.
Bedroom two (Teith) has a solid oak kingsize bed with matching furniture and an ensuite bathroom. This room is ideal for families coming with a baby/young child, with space for a travel cot and being a little quieter, away from the 'buzz' of the rest of the house.
Bedroom three (Torlum) also has a kingsize bed with matching solid oak furniture and an ensuite bathroom with rainfall shower head. And its pièce de résistance: step out the patio door onto the small but perfect balcony to sit and enjoy the breathtaking views of Torlum itself and the Perthshire countryside.
As you may have noticed, the bedrooms are all named after rivers, lochs and hills in the local area.
All linen, towels and bath mats are provided. There is liquid soap and hand cream in all bathrooms. Hand soap, washing up liquid and antibacterial spray can all be found in the kitchen.
We love Carryglen and we hope you will too. ❤️
