The Els is a detached bungalow that accommodates up to six people. With two bedrooms and an alcove bed, an open-plan kitchen, and a bright living room featuring a wood stove or fireplace, it’s the ideal place to relax and enjoy time together. The sliding doors or French doors lead directly to the terrace with garden furniture, overlooking a spacious garden and forest.
Layout and Amenities
On the ground floor, you’ll find the hallway, a separate toilet, the open kitchen, and the inviting living room. The wood stove or fireplace creates a warm and cozy atmosphere—perfect for unwinding together after an active day outdoors. The bathroom is also on the ground floor and features a bathtub with a shower, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing moment.
Also on the ground floor is a traditional alcove bed—kids will love the unique experience of sleeping here! Upstairs, there are two spacious double bedrooms, providing everyone with plenty of comfort and privacy.
Extra Convenience
For added convenience, the Els includes a brick storage shed, ideal for storing bicycles or other belongings you may need during your stay. In short: a charming and atmospheric holiday bungalow for a wonderful getaway in any season.

Discover the Versatile Surroundings of NoordwoldeThe holiday park is located in a unique area in Noordwolde, a beautiful region on the border of Friesland, Drenthe, and Overijssel. Here you can enjoy the tranquility of nature, while also having plenty of opportunities to explore the surroundings.
Noordwolde is historically a basket-weaving village, so a visit to the Weaving Museum is a must. Top it off with a coffee and homemade pastry or lunch at the Tramhalteplein or Het Ambacht.
Within just 15 minutes, you can reach the enchanting village of Giethoorn, where you can sail through narrow canals and admire traditional thatched farmhouses. But the region offers even more—Heerenveen is just a 20-minute drive from the park, making it a great base for visiting the Thialf ice stadium, Sportstad Heerenveen, or enjoying an afternoon of shopping.
For Nature Lovers and Active HolidaymakersNature and outdoor enthusiasts will feel right at home in Drents-Friese Wold National Park, one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands, with countless walking and cycling trails through forests, sand dunes, and heathlands. The park is also a favorite among mountain bikers, and the nearby Havelterberg offers scenic trails as well.
Weerribben-Wieden National Park is also nearby—a paradise for canoeists and birdwatchers. For peaceful hikes, with or without kids, visit Dwingelderveld National Park.

Activities for All AgesThere’s something for everyone at the park. Children can enjoy the playground or visit the petting zoo, while adults can rent an e-bike at the bicycle rental to explore the surroundings at their own pace.
Don’t forget your swimwear! From May to September, the heated outdoor swimming pool is open. It features various pools, including a 50-meter pool, diving boards, a kiosk, a slide, and a play field. Access is free for guests of Het Bosmeer.
Just 100 meters from the park lies Spokedam Recreation Area, with a swimming lake, sandy beach, and several playgrounds—a great place to enjoy a day with the kids.
