About this property
Edinburgh House (4), Aldeburgh
Edinburgh House is a charming two-bedroom Victorian seaside retreat nestled on the desirable Craig Path in Aldeburgh. Just steps from the RNLI lifeboat station and with the beach quite literally on your doorstep, this stylish coastal home is perfect for couples, small families, or groups looking to unwind by the sea.
The property offers two relaxing bedrooms; A master bedroom with a 4'6" double bed and an en-suite with a free standing bath, second bedroom with a 4'6"double bed with an en-suite with a shower cubicle. The family bathroom features stylish honeycomb tiles. Outside, a private sitting area framed by generous shrubs provides a perfect spot for alfresco dining with sea views.
Edinburgh House has a rich history, once believed to have been a private casino frequented by the Duke of Edinburgh in the 1870s, who was a regular visitor to Aldeburgh due to his love for sailing. The property also has strong literary connections, having once been owned by the renowned crime author Ruth Rendell. Her famous works, including 'No Night is Too Long', are said to have been inspired by the surrounding area, with the nearby house in the novel being based on a neighbouring property.
