Welcome to Hollyhock Cottage. Nestled in the heart of Winchcombe, a picturesque Cotswolds town renowned for its scenic walking trails. Bursting with character, our cottage offers a cosy retreat for those seeking a quintessential English countryside experience. Small but perfectly formed, the cottage is located in the heart of Winchcombe, with a cosy lounge complete with log-burner, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with bath and shower and large dining room that looks over our garden with patio. Admire the stone-built exterior and the surrounding honey-coloured stone and timber framed properties, before making your way into the cottage, which has retained a wealth of original features. Enter past the hollyhocks, through the porch and into the cosy living room, where contemporary furnishings and TV complement the exposed stone-built fireplace, home to a real woodburning fire, offering the perfect space to unwind in the evening. In the kitchen, you will find a delightful range of appliances to assist you in cooking up a tasty home-cooked meal, whilst your loved ones keep you company at the dining table, overlooking the lawn and trees, and plan tomorrows adventure as dinner simmers on the hob. Bedrooms boast a king or double bed again filled with characterful features and offering lovely views of the village, with a large bathroom including spa bath for relaxing after a long day exploring. If you can tear yourself away from this charming abode, immerse yourself in your surroundings by taking a stroll into the town, where an array of pubs and restaurants are awaiting, as well as a number of cafés where you can enjoy afternoon tea. Within the town, you will find two small supermarkets and various shops for picking up the essentials, including a baker, a butcher where you can purchase locally sourced meat, and also a greengrocer for vegetables to cook up your own Cotswold delicacy. If you are feeling adventurous, you could book onto one of the many guided tours of the town or soak up the countryside setting further by walking the Cotswold Way, the Gloucestershire Way, the Warden’s Way and the Windrush Way. Local Winchcombe attractions include historic landmarks such as Sudeley Castle, renowned for its royal connections and stunning gardens and the famed Winchcombe meteorite, a captivating piece of cosmic history housed in the local museum.
