Willans farmhouse is a traditional farmhouse based on a working beef and sheep farm, sleeping 7 it’s perfect for family , groups of friends or those who prefer a little more space. Sleeping up to 7 guests across 4 bedrooms, a large living room with cosy open coal fire that’s set ready for your arrival. Willans offers a large kitchen with extendable dining table, giving plenty or dining space or if the weather allows we have a large wooden table and chairs just outside the kitchen door where you can dine and enjoy the view.

My family and I thoughally enjoyed our stay here. We will definitely come back. There is a lovely waterfall just up the road from the house and great walks arounds the area. The place was clean and spacious and cosy. More than beat our expectations. Thank you :) x

We loved this quirky, cosy cottage. It was clean and comfortable and located in a stunning valley. We were lucky to have a warm and sunny October weekend so enjoyed the peace and quiet (literally no sounds but the river and birdsong) on the patio after a walk in the nearby countryside. Lovely!

We had an enjoyable stay as it was great for the family to be together. However may I make a constructive comment regarding dogs. It was terrific to have Molly and Roxy with us but I feel it would be a better experience if there was a safe area where goes could go off lead for a wee etc. there was no enclosed space where the dogs could be free and safe. And of course to ensure the wellbeing of neighbouring livestock.Regarding inside - it is an old farmhouse with old house issues which we accept, but the addition of bath mats, possibly a welcome pack - nothing major, milk, tea bags perhaps, would have been nice.

This property is situated in a stunning location, probably the most beautiful outlook of anywhere I have ever stayed. It is near the village of Dent (drivable) which is also surrounded by a stunning landscape and has a very pretty church. The host of this property was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our booking. The property is situated on a working farm therefore the entrance is typical and a bit higgledly piggledly but a gate separates the property from the farm and makes it dog friendly and secure. The property itself is a good size, well equipped with a lovely modern shower room downstairs. The furnishings however are a little shabby/dated; the carpets throughout really could do with a good clean, there are several stains on the upstairs bedroom carpets which are rather off putting. The kitchen is lovely and bright and a good size however there is one tiny sink with a tiny drainer and for a party of 6 adults and one baby not really sufficient ( we spent a lot of time washing and drying up), a dishwasher would be a welcome addition for future guests as would some tea towels and ideally some washing up liquid which we had to buy. Linen, towels and plenty of loo rolls were supplied. It would also be helpful if the recycling bins supplied were emptied between guests as already half full when we arrived, these were full to bursting when we left. Ultimately we enjoyed our stay in this remote farmhouse, enjoying the location and surrounding area very much.
