Xewkija Square
Xewkija Windmill

Top five suggested activities:
1. Enjoy an early morning walk around the narrow streets of Xewkija, followed by the famous Breakfast Ftira at 1939 Xewkija Bistro;

3. Wander down to the Xewkija Windmill, first built in 1710, to learn about the history of the village and the island at large, and then visit the Magro food village to browse their selection of Gozitan delicacies.
4. Take a stroll through the olive groves of Gnien Blankas… with some friendly alpacas! Book your alpaca experience through Gozo Alpaca Walks.
5. Take a guided tour of Gozo’s first craft brewery, Lord Chambray, which includes a tasting of four beers chosen from a selection of 12 beers on tap.
There are many attractions you can reach on foot from Eden 1. To explore further, hop on the nearby bus route, which takes you to the central bus terminus in Victoria. From there, you can connect easily to all other towns on the island.
House guidelines:
• At certain times of the year, ants and mosquitoes are a common problem on the island. We provide ant traps and repellent spray which normally work well, but you may want to pack additional mosquito protection. Please do your part to reduce ants by keeping food sealed and kitchen surfaces clean.
• Smoking is not permitted inside Eden 1. Smoking is permitted in the courtyard, but please dispose of ash and cigarette ends in the ashtrays, and not in the garden.
• Eden is a pet-friendly property – if your pet is well-behaved, then they are welcome! Please clean up after your pet. There is a nominal additional cleaning fee for pets.
• No parties or loud noises. Eden is located in a quiet, historical area and it is important to respect our neighbours by keeping noise down, especially when entering and leaving the building and always after 11pm.
• Our Tourism License does not permit us to allow extra guests without written approval.
• The septic system is effective and works well – unless improper materials are flushed. Feminine products, nappies and wipes should be disposed of in the bin, and the only thing flushed should be toilet tissue.
• The cleaning fee covers a general cleaning upon check-out. To avoid additional charges, please keep the studio reasonably clean and wash any dirty dishes before departure. Please dispose of garbage in the bins provided.
• You can check in any time from 4pm to Midnight. Check-out is at 10am on day of departure.
• We have coin units installed for air-conditioning, in order to ensure efficient and environmentally responsible consumption. Just a couple of euros is more than enough to run the air-conditioning for reasonable use, and we will load enough credit for reasonable use during your stay. We recommend switching off the air-conditioning when you are out of the room.
