Tucked away in the charming village of Lundin Links, Durham Lodge offers the perfect blend of relaxation, luxury, and location. The Lodge
Durham Lodge sleeps up to 6 guests in absolute comfort. Think spacious open-plan living, a modern well-equipped kitchen, comfy beds, and a generous private deck for your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. It’s stylish, calm, and packed with all the essentials to help you feel right at home.

Inside, you’ll find:
3 beautifully furnished bedrooms (2 large bedrooms upstairs that can be made as Kings or two singles, and 1 downstairs bedroom with single beds, including an electric profiling bed and ceiling hoist if needed)

2 bathrooms (including a large wetroom) and one additional toilet.

Open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen space with lovely views over the woodlands across to the Firth of Forth.

Location, Location, Location
Durham Lodge is only 20 minutes’ drive from St Andrews – world-famous for its historic university, beautiful beaches and, of course, its legendary golf courses. Whether you’re planning a round on the Old Course, visiting the British Golf Museum, or simply browsing the boutiques and cafés, St Andrews is a must-visit.

You’re also just a stone’s throw from the scenic East Neuk – full of postcard-perfect fishing villages like Crail, Anstruther and Pittenweem. The Fife Coastal Path is right on your doorstep too – perfect for walkers and photographers alike.

In the village of Lundin Links, there’s a well-stocked shop, café, local pub, and even couple of golf courses of its own. The beach is within walking distance and is a great spot for a paddle, a picnic or a proper Scottish sunset.

Homelands

Very enjoyable stay in Massney. We have been taking our disabled daughter there for quite a few years now and she loves it because everything is there for her and she likes to look out at the sea. The staff are really helpful and happy to help with anything big or small, and we are looking forward to going next year

Fife for the few

Excellent equipped disabled holiday makers self catering lodges catering to all needs, abilities and conditions. Very clean, bright, spacious lodges with outdoor seating and gardens and views of the sea in older lodges. Parking for blue badge holder and visitor including electric charging. Located central to all Fife attractions, near pubs, shops and wider facilities. Loved the garden, sea and links views and surrounding area.

A great break, fantastic location

This was our first break as a family where we were needing the specialised equipment provided at this property. Really pleased when we found it online. And it didn't disappoint. Sunshine relaxation by the sea

Wonderful location with lovely view over the golf course to the sea. Massney is 10 years old and beginning to show its age, but comfortable and well equipped. Very spacious, bright accommodation. Loved the pulley in the utility room! Minor issues were quickly dealt with by the very friendly and helpful staff on duty. Tasty soup and home baking lunch in the Paxton Centre was a treat. We find Lundin Links a good centre to explore the Fife coastal area from and this small town is well served with the necessities for the self catering break.

Refreshing May break

Flawless booking process, great communication from office staff. Very friendly and approachable too. Good selection of specialist equipment to choose from. Check in straightforward using Masterlock key safe. Good parking. Lodge purpose built for wheelchair users, so access very good.Very spacious accommodation in all areas. "Welcome" pint of milk in the fridge, tea/coffee, sugar and cake was great. Equipment we requested was in situ. Utility room equipped with washing machine, tumble drier, pulley, clothes airer, and some laundry liquid capsules. Kitchen had hand soap, detergent, a supply of cloths, refuse bags, one tea towel, so bring extras if required and also hand towel. Beds very comfortable. Lodge was hot, as weather warm during our stay, especially upstairs bedroom. Supply of one bath towel and one hand towel per guest. Beautiful garden and grounds. Paxton Centre community cafe on Monday and Tuesday offers friendly welcome and great soup, toasties and home baking. Local shops less than 5 minutes walk - butcher, baker, general store, cafe, barber, gift shops and local hotel has good quality meals and welcoming and helpful staff. As a carer, I benefitted greatly from walks along the beach to Leven and to Lower Largo, and to Silverburn Park. Everyone we met in the area was friendly and happy to stop and speak. We feel very at home in Homelands and already do recommend it to people we know. Thank you Homelands Team!

Excellent lodge facilities in a great location

Excellent facilities in the lodge for disabled guests. Very comfortable for able bodied as well. Site immaculate, lovely well kept gardens and clean driveways. Location perfect for visiting attractions all round Fife. Website has fully detailed information, booking easy and subsequent information post booking very helpful. We will definitely be arranging return visits.

Lovely holiday for L

We felt thoroughly at home in Massney Lodge. Our lady was well catered for in terms of equipment and facilities available to her and we felt taken care of in relation to the lovely welcome bits (teas, coffees, cake) and the supply of games and books to chose from. The rooms were bright, big and very comfortable and the view over to the sea was stunning. We used the lodge as a base to go off into other areas of Fife for the day so did not explore the village itself, so can't comment on how much there is for a wheelchair user to do there. Our only (very small) negative was just some missed dust and cobwebs between the fridge and the wall and in some high level places that we only saw because of the mezzanine looking out onto the main room and the porch beams. None of this affected our stay and other than those, the place was absolutely spotless, highly maintained and well cared for. We would definitely stay again and we have already been recommending Homelands to other colleagues. Thank you for all you do.

Carers residential break

We had a very positive experience at Homelands from booking through to leaving. Helen was very helpful and understanding about our group which included both carers and their cared for person. Homelands provided spacious, accessible accommodation together with lovely views and outdoor space with seating and tables. Helen was also very knowledgeable about the surrounding area; suggesting and recommending activities and locations for our group which helped us to plan accordingly. We were welcomed warmly- and there was cake and milk and coffee for our arrival! This was throughout the four lodges that we had booked and was very appreciated. The space was clean, bright, welcoming and felt like home. The kitchen and bathroom facilities in particular stand out. We could not have asked for a better stay and will definitely be returning to Homelands.

Lovely stay and we’ll be back

Lovely quiet location with splendid views of the sea. As a leg amputee I found facilities excellent, and kitchen etc. very well equipped. Shower easy to access and even the low level bath was a great plus. Nice feeling of space in the property and layout easy to navigate around in wheelchair when needed. Instructions by email and in the property were always clear. Parking outside door useful.

Proper accessible accommodation

Finding fully accessible wheelchair self cater accommodation anywhere in the UK is difficult, particularly for someone confined to a wheelchair and who needs a hoist to transfer. Homelands provides fully accessible lodges together with a wide range of equipment that is necessary to suit most types of physical disabilities. The rooms are very spacious with extra wide doorways. Kim the manager is very friendly and helpful.

Massney stay

Lovely house and garden for a relaxing week for me, my daughter and her family, looking after me following a stroke and the death of my husband last year. My only problem was the shower because I couldn't turn it on without soaking towels, dressing gown and so on. Maybe the shower head needs repositioning.

Lovely accommodation

Beautiful lodge with a fantastic view! So.comfortable and brilliant facilities for complex physically disable people. Furnishings so nice. Lovely place if you can all just sit and relax. Our son wants to be constantly entertained so was a bit difficult when weather was bad but lovely all the same. Would highly recommend

A relaxing family holiday

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Homelands, the lodges are well laid out and any equipment required can be provided for your stay. The area is ideal with plenty to see and do and more importantly for us to relax. There are local shops nearby for most things you might need also supermarkets not far away hotels are near at hand so you can enjoy a family meal out. We enjoyed the East Neuk and spent most of our time on small walks enjoying the area, it was the perfect holiday for us even the weather was good all week.

Relaxing week away from it all!

Booked well in advance and eagerly anticipated our holiday. The lodge is a beautiful property and has great views across golf course to Firth of Forth. Patio was in full sun for most of the day but would have benefitted from a parasol for some shade. It was quiet and peaceful, only interrupted by noise of strimmers but the grounds were very well kept so some noise was to be expected. Slept very well in the most comfortable bed upstairs and guest in downstairs bedroom reported same. As one of the older lodges it could probably do with a review of equipment in kitchen (i.e. only one chopping board) and upholstery on recliner could do with a freshen-up, but this didn't in anyway detract from our enjoyment of staying there. We will happily book another holiday in the near future.

Fantastic facility

This was our second visit here and it was just as wonderful as our first experience. From first booking to when we departed the service is excellent and all very well organised and cater for all needs. The staff are very understanding and helpful. The little things like a welcome cake and pint of milk in the fridge on arrival, all makes us smile. Highly recommend this and maybe next time, may book the new newly opened lodges.
