About this property
Secluded & Serene - 1845 Regency Manor Home
Toad Hall is a labour of love. We want you to love it as much as we do. So our flat rate pricing includes all cleaning fees as well as the new local accommodation tax. That means no surprises! HST and VRBO fees not included.
Toad Hall provides accommodation only, which means no parties, events, weddings, or receptions. We are committed to making your visit safe, pleasant, relaxing and memorable.
Our handsome 3000 sq. ft. 1845 Regency country home is available for short-term holiday rental. It is set peacefully on five acres of wooded grounds, surrounded by orchards, and affords a quiet and gracious respite.
The house sleeps eight adults comfortably (kids too, of course), with three large bedrooms—two with queen-size beds and the third with a king-size bed (or two full length twins if you prefer)—plus two full baths. A queen-size sofa-bed is also available on the main floor with an adjacent powder room. The rooms are large and bright, with cozy corners and quiet spaces. The bathrooms are airy, modern and well-appointed.
Morning coffee on the front porch? Lunch and birdwatching out back?
The screened-in back porch is a great place to relax and survey the rambling back lawn and surrounding orchards. It's also perfect for a candle-lit dinner while sipping local wine.
WiFi is provided, of course, but off-grid activities are what we're really all about.
We are located on the popular Waterfront Trail bicycle route, part of the Niagara Wine Route and the Greater Niagara Circle Route. Toad Hall is only a short bike ride into Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake—with its restaurants and Shaw Festival theatres—and a short walk to the lake, local wineries, farms, and fruit stands.
Come, gather your family and friends, relax and enjoy!

Me and my family had such a wonderful stay! Communication with management was so easy and fast. The grounds of the property are absolutely spectacular!
Beautiful and comfortable historic home perfect for family trip
Toad Hall is a beautiful historic home and a wonderful stay for our entire family (6 adults and 3 young kids). The rooms are clean and comfortable, bathrooms are modern, and the yard is amazing - especially for young kids to explore! Andy was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The house is minutes away from downtown NOTL and very quiet and peaceful.
Wonderful house! We wished we were staying longer. The house is very comfortable and the location is fantastic. We really enjoyed the outside space and quiet surroundings. The Host is very accommodating.
Wonderful place to spend a long weekend with our adult children. Beautifully restored estate home with very peaceful grounds near wineries, bike trails and Shaw Festival. Highly recommended.
What a find! I cannot relay how amazing this place is. A little piece of bliss nestled in the trees. The check in/out process was seemless. The amenities provided were above and beyond what was expected.
I would give this stay more stars if they were available.
The second consecutive year four couples have spent the weekend at Toad Hall should say it all!!
Beautiful house and property just outside NOTL core. All four bedrooms are very comfortable, well stocked kitchen, and the screened in porch is fantastic.
Andy is great, and very responsive to any questions or concerns.
We'll be back!
Toad Hall is such a perfect place. Andy has thought of everything and more. The house is grand, yet unassuming and full of fascinating art, choice pieces of furniture and a great collection of books. It’s so comfy and cosy - it’s even better than the pictures and we didn’t want to leave. Would highly recommend.
My family stayed 3 nights at Toad Hall and had a great holiday. Andy was there when we arrived and walked us through the house making sure we were going to be comfortable during our stay. He was also available by text for any questions I had over the weekend. The house was beautiful, even nicer than the pictures on the listing. Lots of room for our family of 6 adults and two children under 3 years old. The grounds were beautiful with many tall trees and grassy areas. We had a wonderful weekend and will be back again!
Toad Hall offers the experience of a lifetime. Andy is approachable, responsive, timely, detailed and appropriately hands off. We held our sons wedding rehearsal dinner on the grounds, which the owner graciously allowed. We cannot say enough about the beauty of Toad Hall- both inside and out; its simply magnificent- perfectly decorated, stocked and impeccably clean. Beds were all comfortable, utter bliss awaits you here. The screened in porch and firepit offered an oasis of peaceful pleasure. Thank you Andy, we shall return!
The host greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the house and answered questions. The house was spotless and decor was eclectic and interesting and generative of a lot of smiles and did you see this moments. Lots of thought and effort went into making this a memorable experience. Versus many other rentals the dishes, pots and pans, towels, bedding etc... were specific to the house not leftovers that needed attention. The screened in porch and the firepit were our personal favorites. Location was superb. Nicely done Andy!!!
We had a long, relaxing weekend at Toad Hall. Andy was helpful and quick to respond. We enjoyed the indoors just as much as the outdoors. The screened in porch was our favorite place for sitting and relaxing. The property is gorgeous, and it feels like you're in a beautiful, private park.
We cooked dinner on the grill one evening, and the kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The sitting areas are comfortable and the bedrooms are amazing. Comfy beds and bedding! Andy has thought of every detail!
We'd love to stay at Toad Hall again sometime. It's close to Niagara-on-the-Lake, lots of wineries and Niagara Falls.
Thanks, Andy, for a wonderful weekend!
Family with teen girls loved the house. Very clean and comfortable. Easy drive to Niagara on the lake and wineries. Appreciated the coffee and creamer in the kitchen and nice face wash & shampoo in bathroom. If you need conditioner, be sure to bring it.
There were a couple games but we brought our favorites. Didn’t turn on the tv the entire time there.
Plenty of wood for a night fire and appreciated the blankets on the back porch.
Very safe and pretty property. I’d recommend.

Lovely. Secluded, yet close to lots of things to do and see, including Shaw Festival theater. Rooms big and airy; kitchen. incredibly well-stocked with dishes, utensils and basic foods. Outdoors is gorgeous and thoughtful for sitting and walking. We had to teach ourselves not to trip on the step from the screened in porch to the house, as it's not level; several stubbed toes until we learned. I would go back to this house in a minute!
The property was a fabulous family experience for all of us. It began wonderfully with our tour of the house by “Farmer Andy” and continued with three beautiful days exploring the grounds and the Niagara area. Thank you so much Andy for sharing your home with us🙏
You'll want for nothing at this spectacular property! It has everything you'll need for a lovely stay with friends or family, or just yourselves. It's a perfect place for a visit to the Niagara region. All the details are taken care of, even some you would not have thought of. We would not hesitate to stay here again!
This was the perfect place to relax before a wedding. It was a retreat from the hustle and bustle of NOTL. It also provided access to biking, walking and visiting the various wineries and orchards that surrounded the area.
Toad Hall was a fantastic location and property. My family from Australia were able to join me for my wedding, and we used Toad Hall to get ready and take some family photos.
Everyone enjoyed the historical experience of Toad Hall, and the fantastic property it was situated on.
Andy was an excellent host and we didn't really need anything once we arrived!
I look forward to my next stay at Toad Hall.
Our family stayed at Toad Hall for an amazing 6 day vacation! The mansion is beautiful and spotless at arrival. Uniquely decorated with original antiques and plenty of room for everyone's comfort. Check-in was a breeze and we were greeted by Andy, the owner himself. Andy was flexible, kind, accommodating, helpful and answered his test messages promptly. Everything was perfect. More than we could of expected. Well stocked with everything we needed for a long term stay. We absolutely loved it. We felt like we were in a peaceful European country home, minutes away from the wineries, grocery stores, markets and Niagara-on-the-Lake. Our granddaughter also enjoyed playing with the vintage toys and musical instruments. She could play outdoors without having to worry that she would run out to the road. This place is a gem with mature trees, flowers, an apple orchard and beautiful landscape. The screened in porch and campfire pit are an added bonus! Thank you so much for making this vacation a memorable one Andy! Merci beaucoup, La famille Lacombe-Théorêt
Some of our group had never been to Niagara on the lake region and Toad Hall was the perfect place to experience it. It is a gorgeous property with so much charm and plenty of nature surrounding it. Andy was there to greet us for check-in and make sure we had everything we needed. We can’t say enough wonderful things about this place, it was magical! Thanks again, Andy!
We stayed here for a bachelorette weekend and our whole experience was amazing. The property was amazing with a large outdoor space to relax and play lawn games. The inside was stunning as well, in addition to being very clean. Andy was lovely to deal with leading up to our trip and during our stay. If I’m in NOTL I will definitely be staying here again and would recommend to anyone I know.

About the host
Hosted by Andy Parks
We first saw the property back in 2015 while spending Christmas with family. Four months later it was ours. After 20 years working in marketing and graphic design I finally said, "Enough!" It took us two years to reclaim this historic pre-confederation estate from decades of neglect but it has been worth every effort.
Toad Hall is a labour of love and we're sure that you'll love it as much as we do!
