Welcome to The Woodland Loft, a unique and luxurious retreat nestled at the edge of private woodland, just 15 minutes walk from the vibrant market town of Hebden Bridge. The accommodation sits atop an oak-framed structure with your own parking bay underneath, perfect for couples or solo travellers seeking peace, privacy, and a touch of indulgence.

Inside, the space is thoughtfully designed. A plush double bed sits beneath exposed beams, with a cosy lounge area complete with a wood-burning stove – ideal for snug evenings after a day exploring. The fully equipped kitchen provides everything you need for a self-catering stay, while a separate modern bathroom features a shower, Molton Brown toiletries and fluffy towels. Please note The Woodland Loft is situated within the eaves of the building and hence head height is restricted around the perimeter.

Step outside onto the raised decking area for morning coffee overlooking the woodland; then venture down to the lower terrace decking to discover your own private Wellness Escape: a traditional sauna, hot and cold outdoor shower, BBQ, gas fired pizza oven and relaxed seating. If you don’t fancy cooking, less than half a mile away you’ll find the dog-friendly Hare n Hounds country pub serving local brews and great food.

From your private terrace, follow a short woodland path along the stream and you’ll uncover a magical hidden gem – a giant 2 person outdoor bath (supplied by mains-fed hot water) set inside your own private woodland hut in a secluded clearing with firepit and hammock. The gate behind the woodland bath hut leads directly onto a public footpath which follows the stream into Hebden Bridge, just 15 minutes walk away. This vibrant town is renowned for its independent shops, quirky cafés, artisan market, and strong creative community. Please note, access to the bath hut is via steep outdoor steps, which are not suitable for guests with mobility issues.

Private parking is available for one car, along with access to an EV charging port operated on an honesty box basis.

The surrounding countryside offers spectacular walking and cycling routes, including access to the Pennine Way. Both within 2 miles walk are Hardcastle Crags, a stunning wooded valley managed by the National Trust, and Heptonstall, a picturesque hilltop village steeped in history and often used for filming period dramas. Discover waterfalls, river walks, woodland trails and panoramic views, or enjoy canal-side strolls, historic architecture and the warmth of local pubs and tea rooms.

For days out, explore nearby Haworth, home of the Brontë Museum; or hop on the train from Hebden Bridge for direct connections to the cities of Manchester, York or Leeds. Outdoor lovers can canoe or cycle the canal, join a local yoga or art class, or visit the many galleries, workshops and festivals the area has to offer throughout the year.

With its blend of luxury and doorstep access to one of Yorkshire’s most charming towns, The Woodland Loft offers an unforgettable holiday experience in a truly special setting.
