About the host

I’m an Irish host who loves nature, travel and creating comfortable spaces for people to enjoy. I take pride in offering a home that’s welcoming, well-equipped and easy for families to settle into.
I’m always available if you have questions or need help during your stay, and I genuinely enjoy making sure guests feel relaxed, supported and completely at home
Why they chose this property
We chose this area because it feels like a true escape — peaceful, scenic and completely unspoiled. Every time we arrive, we slow down. You can hear the water, breathe the fresh air and instantly feel more relaxed.
Lough Allen is right beside the house, so mornings start with calm lake views and evenings end with golden light reflecting off the water. The area is full of nature, wildlife and winding country roads that make you want to explore.
What we enjoy most is the sense of space and calm. The kids can swim safely at the shoreline, we can picnic by the lake, and everything from walking trails to horse riding is only minutes away. Drumshanbo town is small, friendly and full of character — cafés, traditional pubs, smiling faces. It’s the kind of place where you feel welcome straight away.
This part of Leitrim still feels like “real Ireland”: beautiful, untouched and incredibly peaceful. That’s why we chose it — and why guests fall in love with it too.
What makes this property unique
What makes our property unique is the feeling it gives you the moment you arrive. It’s extremely rare to be this close to the water — the shoreline of Lough Allen is literally seconds from the front door, so the lake becomes part of your daily routine. Morning coffees on the veranda overlooking the water, kids splashing safely at the shallow edge, peaceful evening walks — it feels like your own private lakeside hideaway.
The house itself is bright, cosy and set up with everything you need for family comfort, but it’s the combination of views, wildlife, space and tranquillity that makes it truly special. Horses graze in the fields behind the house, the lake glows at sunset, and the whole area feels untouched and genuinely calming.
It’s a home where you can breathe, slow down and make memories — and that’s what makes it stand out.
