Parking near Mortimer Road, Brighton & Hove (BN3 5FG)
On-street parking:
Mortimer Road and many nearby streets sit within Brighton & Hove controlled parking zones (where you usually need a resident permit or pay-and-display during daytime hours). Always check the signage before you park.
Free / unrestricted options:
• Residential streets further out of permit zones – Some roads around Hove Park or the outskirts of residential zones can have unrestricted parking (no permit needed) — but this may involve a walk or short bus ride back to Mortimer Road. Always check local road signs.
• Outside restriction hours – In many pay-and-display zones, parking is free early morning or in the evening (usually outside 9 am–8 pm), so timing your visit can help you park for free.
Paid parking:
• Norton Road Car Park – Large council-run multi-storey car park in Hove (charges apply during the day but often free outside of 08:00 – 20:00).
• Local pay-and-display bays – For example, 35 Grange Road pay & display, Hove Place bays, and similar council street parking meters offer hourly paid parking (often £1.60–£3.30 for 1–2 hrs during controlled times).
• JustPark pre-booked spaces – You can book private driveways or spaces close to Mortimer Road in advance via the JustPark app, which can be cheaper and more convenient than searching for a street space on arrival.
Tips:
• Always check street signs for permit requirements and pay-and-display rules — restrictions usually run from about 9 am to 8 pm.
• Free street parking is more likely outside restriction times or further out in residential areas — just make sure you’re not in a permit-only zone when parking.
IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process.
The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
