About this property

Located in the heart of the Berkshires, midway between NYC and Boston, this newly renovated Guest House is nestled on 10 acres of lush forest along the Green River in Hillsdale NY. Enjoy all that the Berkshires, Western Massachusetts and the Hudson Valley have to offer. Perfect for year-round getaways and perfect for families!

On the first floor: a beautiful, spacious living and dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen (oven/stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, plenty of cooking utensils). On the second floor: two bedrooms (1 queen bed, 2 twin beds) and their respective private bathrooms. Wonderful private patio with furniture, fire pit, and gas grill– all overlooking the river. Forest and green all around, with a riverside picnic area.

There are many things to do in our extended neighborhood. Great restaurants, bars, performing arts, museums & galleries, antiquing, winter sports, water sports, hiking, farms and vineyards to visit. Please always feel free to inquire for more information.

Stone Ledge in the Berkshires

This is a beautiful property. The Green River is right behind the house and the patio overlooks it. The house is very comfortable, clean, and filled with light. The upstairs master bedroom has lovely windows with full length white drapes. I'd love to come in the summer and open the windows and let the breeze blow through. I hope we can come back in the spring or summer.

Great VRBO and Exceptional Host

We spent 2 lovely months in this well equipped and comfortable home. Our host ensured everything was to our satisfaction. Should our travels take us back to the Berkshires we would certainly see if this house is available.

Back door to Berkshires

Very well equipped rental in a beautiful location. Given the weather we did not make full use of the charming patio overlooking the Green River but we had plenty of time to take in many cultural snd historic sites. Wish they had cable but we made use of Netflix and DVD’s.

Perfect getaway!

This beautiful river-side cottage was everything we could have hoped for for a quiet, restful family vacation. The host is very friendly and accommodating and thought of everything one could need. Felt like a luxury hotel! And the location can’t be beat—equidistant to the various attractions of great Barrington, Sheffield, Egremont, and Hillsdale. We will definitely come back!
