The host interaction via text messaging was very good - they were responsive, helpful and quick to answer to queries. The apartment is lovely but the cleaning was not up to standard. There were multiple areas that were not properly cleaned, wet towels and broken furniture- which was all brought to the host’s attention and they were apologetic. They stopped being responsive when asked for a partial refund, where no further communication was received. Really disappointing. It was just an overnight stay, luckily. I wouldn’t have been happy to stay another night when the cleanliness was so poor. This is a real shame as the apartment itself is nice but the cleaning needs to improved and attention to detail on the furniture also needs improvement (e.g broken leg on sofa, mattress smaller than the bed frame). A true rating would be more a 2.5 stars, unfortunately.
