Pickwick cottage in Churchill
We stayed at Pickwick Cottage in Churchill over Christmas and absolutely loved it. It’s a really cosy, well-equipped home, beautifully decorated for the holidays. We felt so welcome and happy throughout our stay. The location is perfect — close to fields and parks for dog walks, and with a lovely local pub just around the corner. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and festive getaway.

Fantastic weekend
My family and I spent a wonderful weekend at Pickwick in Churchill. A lovely Cotswold cottage in a lovely quiet village, with added bonus of village pub that served delicious food. The house was so welcoming we didn’t want to leave. Cosy clean and really everything you would need for family meals to cosy nights by the fire. Thoroughly recommend and would go back

Weekend Stay
We had a great time staying in Pickwick, it was so easy to get to so many of the things the Cotswolds has to offer. The kitchen had everything we needed. The heating was off when we got there so it was a bit chilly, but the heating soon kicked in and we were very comfortable for the rest of our stay.

Best stay ever at Pickwick!
I recently stayed at this holiday property and came away genuinely impressed. From the moment we arrived, the cleanliness stood out—everything was spotless, fresh, and clearly well cared for. It immediately made the place feel comfortable and welcoming.
The property itself had absolutely everything we could have wanted and more. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the essentials (and then some), making it easy to prepare meals. The living areas were spacious and thoughtfully furnished. The bedrooms were cozy, with comfortable beds and quality linens that made for a great night’s sleep. Small touches throughout just made the property feel very homely.
The location was another major highlight. It was perfectly situated—close enough to local attractions, shops, and restaurants to be convenient, but still quiet enough to feel like a proper getaway. Getting around was easy, and we never felt far from anything we needed.
Overall, this place strikes a great balance between comfort, convenience, and quality. It felt like a home away from home, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others looking for a relaxing and hassle-free holiday.

Beautiful cottage - a perfect stay
We stayed at Pickwick Cottage for the weekend and we’re not disappointed- the location is perfect…5 min drive to Daylesford and Diddly Squat meaning we were able to visit many of the local villages over the course of our stay.
The village has a lovely pub at which we booked a table and the food was glorious. (And we spotted a famous face in there!)
The cottage itself is well equipped - an open fire which was lovely and cosy and the bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable, spotlessly clean and all linens looked fresh and new.
Would absolutely visit again - thank you!

Fantastic weekend in great location!
We would thoroughly recommend Pickwick to anybody looking for a roomy, comfortable, unfussy property. The location isn't one of the more obvious places, but really is excellent being so close to Stow, Daylesford, Kingham, Chipping Norton. The local pub - Chequers - is a 5 minute walk and also recommended (the Sunday lunch was one of the best we've had!). Playing field at the top of the road is ideal for young children and dogs to let off steam.
The property itself has a lovely relaxed feel to it and is well equipped. Only one thing was missing - no salt and pepper!!
We all loved our stay and hope to return again - friends have already made a booking!!

We had such a lovely break staying at Pickwick. The house was clean, warm and a perfect size for us (family of 2 adults, 1 tween and a Labrador). Previous reviews mentioned scarce toilet roll and dishwasher tabs but there were plenty for us. Loved the dog treats and poo bags too. We felt the house would benefit from hooks near the back door for coats but this is a minor point. The village is great. The Chequers pub had delicious food and was very accommodating to the dog. Lots of walks around the area too. Centrally located for visiting Burford, Bourton on the Water, Chipping Norton and all the Clarkson’s Farm locations. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend to friends.

Beautiful cottage Pickwick
Your little cottage Pickwick is a Cotswolds dream stay perfect location to stay and explore!!, Chipping Norton is just a short drive away. And a lovely local restaurant/pub (Checkers) just a walk down the road with lovely friendly staff that is dog friendly.
We took both our dogs and there was plenty of room for them in the garden. the rooms are a decent size and the beds were very comfortable My daughter loved the smallest room. the kitchen was my favourite part of the cottage absolutely lovely. Filled with everything you need which provided a very stress free relaxing experience. We will definitely be back next time we visit thankyou so much. ☺️

Lovely house in a pretty village, cold on arrival
Pickwick Cottage is lovely, very spacious and nicely decorated. It was spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed the village, with walks straight from the door for our dog. It was within 30 minutes of the major Cotswold attractions that we were interested in. We thought it was great value for money. Check in is at 4pm and we were around an hour delayed due to a road closure. It was disappointing to arrive to a cold house. The heating had not been put on for us, nor had the water. It took over 2 hours for the house to get warm. Once the house heated up, it was cosy apart from the kitchen and downstairs wc which had no heating at all. The kitchen is a big space with a tiled floor and was cold at all times. Also worth noting that you need to take your own dishwasher tablets as only 1 was provided plus spare loo rolls as only 1 per toilet was provided.
