Beautiful spacious country home set on 22 acres that sleeps 27 people.

Welcome to Legends Woodland Lodge your mountain retreat.

Where else can you stay, in a whole house for less than $40 per person.

Our beautiful country house has many charming and comfortable rooms for family vacations or adventures with friends. The spacious kitchen features a large sitting area for soaking up all the lovely, country kitchen ambiance. Certain to enhance any mood, our spectacular Great Room is centered by a magnificent stone fireplace and features large windows that wrap you in peaceful, forest views. The dining room has a variety of seating areas. We also have a fully stocked library that includes children's books, activities as well as many board games for the family to enjoy. The lower level family room has a large screen TV with plenty of seating for that big game or to view that special family show. Just off the hallway is a sink with a washer and dryer. You may step out of the Great Room and onto the back deck to relax with nature, or gather at the new fire pit to enjoy the warm glow of a fire. A swing set is also in the side yard for the smaller guests to enjoy. The large front yard is surrounded by woods and abundant wildlife and can be enjoyed from the country comfort of our large front porch. Playful chipmunks, scampering across the front porch are sure to make anyone smile.

GUESTS CAN ONLY CHECK IN WHEN THE CARDHOLDER IS PRESENT. CHECK IN IS 3 PM AND CHECK OUT IS 11 AM.

Another great Christmas stay

Beautiful

This property is beautiful with several areas for groups to gather. The living room with the fire place is exceptional. The kitchen is also very spacious. We had a few items in need of attention and Russ came to help.

Property worked very well for our family gathering

Nice 9 bedroom house with large yard and very nice covered porch which was great since it rained off and on during our stay. Kids enjoyed the game room. Host was responsive to our requests.

Great Ski Weekend Getaway!

Booked for a ski weekend getaway with friends and enjoyed it immensely. Plenty of space, kitchen was well stocked with all items needed to cook family dinners, hot tub was awesome for relaxing after a day at the slopes, bedrooms were cozy, and a quick drive to the mountain. Will definitely be returning, thanks!

What a fantastic spot for a family reunion! We recently gathered 16 family members at this rural western Pennsylvania cabin, and overall, it was a memorable stay. The cabin's size was perfect for our group; we had ample space to cook, chat, and play games, but also plenty of quiet corners for downtime. We especially appreciated that the main gathering areas were TV-free, truly encouraging connection. Our absolute favorite spot was the spacious porch, which was large enough for our entire family to gather comfortably, chat, and even play some yard games, truly becoming the hub of our outdoor activities.The location offered a good balance of seclusion and convenience. Within a 20-minute drive, we found an adequate number of restaurants, shops, and activities, including some really interesting Frank Lloyd Wright properties. One important heads-up for future guests: grocery store options in the immediate area are limited and can be pricey with a smaller selection, so plan accordingly!

Family ski weekend

We had a wonderful time! The house had ample room for our party of 22, which included 10 children! We were fortunate to have a chef in our family who prepared all our meals and the kitchen had everything he needed!

House was great for friends/family get away.

Great for a crowd and close to Seven Springs. Host was responsive to requests and communication. We had a lot of fun. Property doesn’t allow kids in the hot tub and monitors outside activity with property cameras which was fine, just wasn’t aware before booking.

Huge House and Property

House is great for a big crowd. Most of the bedrooms have their own attached bathrooms, which is very convenient. Lots of room to spread out. The front porch and fire pit are the best!! Such great spots to hang out with friends/family. The hosts have thought of everything to make staying there very enjoyable. They live on the property as well and were immediately available for any questions or concerns that we had. Had a great family reunion!

Fantastic Place!!

We were a hiking club of 21 from Ohio who came for the weekend to explore Ohiopyle. The house was perfect for us. We had a big potluck Saturday night and the kitchen was well-equipped with all we needed. Also loved the dining room that was like a restaurant set up with 5 separate tables. Also loved the great room -- fit almost all of us in there for playing Blank Slate and Guesstures games. Plenty of room to spread out to library or downstairs family room if we didn't all want to be together. The rooms were surprisingly quiet while sleeping -- that's rare with all these people. Our only wish was if the weather would have been nicer so that we could have enjoyed the beautiful porch and backyard area. We will definitely stay again!

Family Reunion

We had a great time at the house for a family reunion of close to 20 people. The house was spacious, bedrooms and bathrooms for all, landscaping was beautiful, and kitchen and dining allowed for easy access for all. We enjoyed drinking coffee on the great front porch, shooting hoops in the driveway, playing whiffle ball in the yard, roasting smores at the Firepit, and taking family portraits on the picturesque grounds. Russ was very helpful and attentive to every detail. Would love to come back soon!

Nice Place

Had a great time with all my friends here. Very secluded so hard to get to and no cell service but very large and can house a large group comfortably. Only problem was getting a load of passive aggressive texts from the owner because we didn’t empty the bathroom trashes and missed a can during cleanup. Apparently that’s not covered in $400 cleaning fee lol. Either way, made a lot of great memories at this place.

Bachelor family and friends weekend

We enjoyed our stay at this unique large house. Plenty of beds for everyone in our group and a scenic location close to 7 springs. Lots of games and entertainment to keep everyone busy. We were surprised there is no lock on the house doors but the owner insured us there is quality surveillance. This sat fine with most of the group but some folks were worried about belongings when we left the house unattended and just sleep better with locked doors.We would recommend staying at this location and Russell was a nice, friendly, accommodating host.

Family weekend

Clean home, awesome spaces for kids to play both outside and in! Host was able to get us a baby gait for the steps as I forgot to bring one which was awesome! Recommended stay for family’s with kids and elderly as their is a ramp to get in and bedroom on first floor! Porch had plenty of seating! Only request would be guest laundry as when traveling with kids the ability to do laundry is nice but I think I read somewhere they are already planning this! Also they had corn hole, horse shoes and ladder ball so we didn’t have to bring that either! Great stay!

Best getaway house we've ever been too!!

We booked this cabin as a weekend away to celebrate the life of my father and I could not have asked for a better place to stay! First, Russ was absolutely AMAZING to work with! He always responded promptly with the different questions I had and was always so helpful! Second, the cabin is STUNNING!! The house is huge and beautiful! Plenty of space for our large group of family and friends to stay. The yard in the front was perfect for our family wiffle ball game and frisbee golf. The back yard has a swing set for the younger kids and a great firepit with a ton of chairs for us to sit around and enjoy! Truly this has been an amazing experience all around and we plan to book this cabin every year!!

Delightfully decorated

Stayed part of last week of Dec through new years. Owners have gone to great lengths on Christmas season decorations. Large tree in great room and other spaces. Common spaces on main level had decorations and most bedrooms had at least one thing. There is a playroom with items for toddlers up through air hockey for the older kids. Kitchen well equipped with pots, pans, utensils etc. House is on large property, and younger grandchildren were able to do some easy sledding on grade on front lawn (we bought our own plastic sleds).

The space it offered was fantastic. The rooms upstairs had air conditioners which was nice, but the basement rooms were unfortunately stale/musty smelling and hot which really bothered the few that had to sleep down there. Kitchen and outdoor space was amazing! Around all of the windows need a good clean as well, and being unable to lock the doors at night was a little unsettling for a few. The bedrooms all had locks though so I’m guessing it’s the way it is because it’s a venue sometimes? Overall good for most of us, thank you!

Great for family retreat

This is our third visit to Legends with our kids and grandkids. The lodge has a well-equipped play room for the little ones and a comfortable porch for the adults to relax on. Lots of places to play board games, too. The kitchen is great, and the extra fridge in the side room was a tremendous asset. Russ was helpful in recommending area attractions and gracious in all our interactions. Everybody always looks forward to coming here.

Fun for all ages

We enjoyed our stay at the Legend Woodland Lodge. We were there for a family reunion with 25 people of varying ages. The house was comfortable with sufficient bedrooms and spaces that it never felt crowded.The kids enjoyed the play area and built a fire in the night. The yard and surrounding areas were great with lots of play structures for children and adults. We enjoyed our stay, visiting Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas.

Great Property Great Owner

A group of 16 guys from my church spent a weekend getaway at this property. It was perfect for us. When we got there, the owner spent a good amount of time with us and he is awesome. The beds were comfortable, the communal space was spacious, and there was more room than we needed. This would be great for large groups, or a few families. The pictures online dont do it justice. They provided firewood, which was awesome. Great Property, Great Owner!

Great cabin in the woods

A group of 20 board gamers spent 4 days gaming in the woods. Great big space. Russ was great at communicating during stay. Hope to be back in the future.

Ski Trip Lodge

This was our second year at "Legends". The house has more than adequate space for the 20 family members who were able to make our ski trip to Seven Springs. The 3-story rustic house has massive wood beams and a 14-foot-tall lighted Christmas tree in the spacious Great Room. We all had a wonderful weekend!
