About this property

AAV : El Chirimoyo - Rural house with wood oven.

El Chirimoyo is a restored rural home that revives the ancestral richness of Mexican architecture, materials, and folk design. This farmhouse features a reception area, living room, dining room, traditional kitchen with a wood-fired oven and sink, 2 bedrooms, a shared full bathroom, a laundry patio, and wooded surroundings. It includes access to La Terraza Acapulco (shared with other guests), featuring a natural pond, a palapa with a kitchen, dining area, living room, and a sun deck with a hot tub—all part of a 100% sustainable experience.

Our base capacity listed on the platform is 5 people. However, the accommodation can be expanded to accommodate up to 9 guests. This expansion requires a prior request and is priced separately from the rate shown on the platform.

El Chirimoyo is a self-contained home that combines privacy with interaction with nature, located in the wooded surroundings of Acatitlán, Valle de Bravo. Surrounded by a majestic landscape, it features well-defined boundaries marked by flower beds, patios, and private spaces that ensure the property’s privacy. Additionally, it is part of a private complex that includes other accommodation, which share common areas, trails, spacious gardens, and access, among other attractions, including La Terraza Acapulco, which features a large palapa equipped with a kitchen, dining room, living room, sun deck with lounge chairs, a hot tub, and a natural lagoon serving as a swimming pool, as well as a spacious fire pit area.

Guests have full and exclusive access to all facilities, services, furnishings, and amenities within El Chirimoyo, allowing them to enjoy the independence and comfort of feeling right at home. Everything is designed to facilitate a relaxed, pleasant experience that invites you to take a deep breath and reconnect with your true self.

To foster this genuine rest, there is no television, and although the resort has mobile internet coverage for those with data plans, Wi-Fi is also available at a central hub. However, no signal boosters have been installed, inviting travellers to disconnect from the constant technological, digital, and urban demands.

Before, during, and after your stay, the host will always be attentive to your reservation process and experience, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and is satisfactory. In addition, on the property, a manager will be available at all times to ensure safety and the proper functioning of services.

Additional services, such as firewood, heating the hot tub, extra cleaning, or meal preparation, are available for an additional fee. These must be requested in advance and will be arranged beforehand so that everything is ready upon your arrival.

If there are other guests, schedules for the use of common areas will be coordinated to ensure a respectful and harmonious stay. Our goal is to offer a comfortable, efficient, and hassle-free stay.

The property is a restoration and remodeling project designed by renowned architect Guillermo de la Cajiga and is 100% sustainable. Its design transcends conventional paradigms by integrating sustainability, aesthetics, and functionality in harmony with the mountains of Acatitlán, Valle de Bravo. Each space has been designed to connect visitors with their surroundings. The interior is adorned, among other things, with pieces selected to enrich the aesthetic and cultural experience of the place.

The residence’s sustainability is reinforced by the Energy Centre, a 100% sustainable system that provides the essential energy supplies for the property. This centre collects rainwater and processes it through a biological treatment plant, regenerating and purifying all wastewater for endless reuse. In addition, it generates 100% of its electricity through solar power and is equipped with a backup generator and a voltage regulator, ensuring self-sufficiency and respect for the environment.

El Chirimoyo is not just a place to stay, but a timeless habitat that invites guests to respect and appreciate art, traditional Mexican architecture, and the natural wealth that surrounds it. Guests are asked to take care of every corner of the property—including the decorative elements—to manage their waste properly, and to use energy responsibly, as indicated in the house manual, in order to preserve its beauty and authenticity for future generations.
