The birthplace of Charles Darwin, Shrewsbury also boasts Shrewsbury Abbey, founded in 1083 and home to the fictional Brother Cadfael. Visit NT's stately Attingham Park, an elegant 18th century mansion, Wroxeter Roman City, the museums at Ironbridge, the castle and excellent restaurants of Ludlow, or Acton Scott working farm, as featured in the Victorian Farm TV series.
