Our luxury Penthouse is ideally situated on Playa Norte, one of the best beaches in the Caribbean, we are one of the few if not only true 3 bedroom penthouse on Playa Norte - North Beach. We are just a few hundred yards from the soul of the island, the village center, with its numerous shops, restaurants, bars and night spots. The apartment itself is located on the upper floors of the 6 storey building. Downstairs is the two bedroom suite; the master bedroom, with king bed, the other with twin queen beds, and each with ensuite bathrooms. Separating the bedrooms are the fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area.

We have now added a new, internal staircase that leads up to the 1,400 square foot terrace area (elevator access also) with close to 360 degree views of the island. There you will find a the Rooftop Master Suite designed by Mexican Architect Eduardo Chenando, you will also find the Jacuzzi with a wonderful view of the beach, along with other unique decorations. The space is ideal for entertaining or family picnics with its shaded oversized dining table, lounge area, wet bar, easy light grill, refrigerator, and full bathroom.

Fully equipped the luxury condominium comes with free wireless internet, cable TV, separate individual air conditioning controls for each room, along with TV's, electronic safe deposit boxes, closets, and irons in each bedroom. The kitchen contains refrigerator / freezer, stove, microwave, Nespresso coffee maker, blender, toaster, knife set, cooler and bottled drinking water.

Pool side snack bar, pool and beach sun loungers / umbrellas, laundry facilities and much more.

Stay was very comfortable. Service was excellent. Staff was exceedingly helpful and friendly. Weather was beautiful. Lots of wonderful food and drink. Loved the beach. Isla Mujeres has all the activity you may want or is a very pleasant place to do virtually nothing.

Wonderful beach getaway

Our family of six really enjoyed our stay at ixchel. We had tons of room. The place is well stocked and clean and the beds are comfortable. Ixchel Beach Hotel

We loved our 5th floor penthouse…beautiful views from large patio w/ hot tub. The kitchen was well furnished including coffee/tea/milk so we did not have to run out to be ready for next morning after traveling all day. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We loved going down to beach for breakfast 🥰. The bedrooms are large w/ comfortable beds…great to have 3 bathrooms 👍. I would recommend for your trip to Isla🙋‍♀️

I really can’t say enough about Ciecilia and her entire staff. Mayra, Alejandro, Victor were all great and ready to help with anything we needed. This location is close to everything, food, shopping, and of course beautiful playa nota beach. We will be back to Isla and we will 100% stay here again.

We've stayed at the Ixchel Beach Hotel many times, but this was the first time staying in an owned/operated room. The Penthouse did not disappoint! Actually it was so much easier than the hotel side because of the team handling our stay. We lacked nothing! And all questions were handled quickly. When we return to Isla, it will definitely be to the Penthouse! Thanks everyone for making our stay easy and enjoyable!

Staying here is a MUST!

We absolutely love staying at this wonderful property. The staff was so attentive. I asked many questions before arriving in Isla Mujeres because this was our first visit to the island and everything was answered quickly. We were greeted when we got off the ferry and had taxis waiting to take us to the penthouse. The penthouse itself it much bigger than it looks in the photos. We utilized the beautiful roof top every night and made lot of great memories. Ixchel is a 2 min walk to Hildago Street which has everything you need on a vacation - great restaurants, bars and shopping. Everything was super convenient to access from this location. Do not hesitate to book this place. It was way beyond our expectations.

Amazing Stay

The whole team was amazing, Cecilia really has a quality crew keeping things running smooth. Nahim, Dianna, Victor Jr and JJ all where great. We had an issue with the master bed tv, JJ and his guys checked it out and later when we got back from the beach there was a brand new tv installed. Location is great as expected.....No issues with the condo, the view and PH are awesome. We didn't get to spend much time on the Rooftop but will need to make a second trip just for that. Our little 16 month old couldn't get enough of the beach so that's where we where the entire time. The AC units worked great, enough towels and sheets. They where kind enough to grab a couple essential for us like beers, coffee and creamer before we arrived so we didn't need to make an immediate trip to the store. Will definitely be booking with Cecilia again, amazing trip thanks so much.

Beautiful

We love isla mujeres and especially love staying at the ixchel. This unit was very nice except the ceiling was leaking. There was a hole in the middle of the living room and they placed a rug underneath to catch the water that was constantly dripping. With that being said .. I still give the unit a 4 star review because the people were great to work with.. loaded our fridge with basic staple groceries and they nespresso coffee machine. The made us a pitcher of margaritas upon arrival. We also loved using the hot tub after Long Beach days . So even though when it rained at night it also rained in our room it didn’t ruin our trip ;) I may ask before I go next time though if everything is in good working order. Felt like maybe a discounted rate would have been nice.

Nice place, great view

I was overall very happy with the penthouse. The place is clean, and the rooftop is beautiful. The kitchen could use a little updating, but still fine. Bed was comfortable, and the AC worked well. My only concern was that the stairway to get to the roof was blocked because it was under construction. We would have to take the long way around and use the elevator. We booked the place with the stairs in mind and were looking forward to using it. We asked the property manager for some help in dealing with this, but he never got back to us either. It was overall fine, but a little upsetting to have paid for something that was under construction. We weren't informed before the trip, and there was no word from the owner after the trip either. I would stay here again, given that portion was fixed.

Nice property but had maintenance issues and property management was not as expected.

We have stayed in several other Ixchel condos in the past and this time decided to treat ourselves and stay in the penthouse with a private hot tub. We did not realize until a couple weeks ahead of time when we got an email from the management company that all management was off site and we would be dealing with different people when we had problems and not with the Ixchel folks located directly on the property. Upon arrival we were given a site visit by someone who met us at the property and a folder with some instructions and a track phone to reach the management company with several phone numbers. We went to the hot tub and it was cold and we asked why. We were told it is on a cycle and would become hot in a bit. Well many hours later it was still cold. We called management and were told it would be fixed. However we had to call More than once before it got fixed the first time. And then we had a warm hot tub for one evening only and once again the following day it did not work. We did reach the owner in the states who ensured us he would get this fixed and we were finally able to enjoy the hot tub for part of our vacation. Additionally the safe did not work which we reported several times. The batteries were taped in and we were locked out twice at which point we had to once again try to reach off site management. There was an issue with a piece of furniture but the owner did apologize and that was fixed in a reasonable amount of time. Bottom line it is just not worth all the extra money for the penthouse. Even on the beach in front of the property and with the two pools on the property, by staying here we were limited with the services offered to others who received full service like we always have had in the past where the management was on site. I will say the owners did everything they could to better assist us and we appreciated that but when on vacation we like to relax and have things in good shape when we arrive so we have no worries. Of course we did not let all of this ruin our time on this beautiful island! The off site cleaning staff did a nice job and the condo was well cleaned by them on all days except on their day off. We will return to this beautiful island again but will have to pass on this penthouse! Just not happy with off site management because convenience and fast service are important when on vacation!

Isla birthday trip

Girls trip, first time to Isla Mujeres. Would return and stay at this listing. Ixchel is a lovely property with beautiful grounds and laidback feel. Perfect location, just a few moments away from all the action on either the beach, pool or main entertainment street. Walking distance to grocery store and multiple convenient stores. Sunset hot tub time is not to be missed!Cecelia and her team were friendly and responsive. There were some maintenance issues at the condo that were addressed by the team in a timely fashion. Hope to stay again!

Early birthday trip with friends

I can’t even begin to express how amazing this trip was. From the time we booked, communication was phenomenal. We were picked up from the ferry with no issues, and were met at the condo with groceries we had pre ordered. Anytime we used the whats app we were answered immediately. The lovely cleaning woman was amazing and so sweet ! When I say you don’t have to worry about a thing with this unit I mean it ! Thank you again for everything, we will definitely be back !!

Birthday Barbecue Celebration

We had a wonderful stay celebrating a 65th Bday with a couple of close friends. rooftop barbecue, followed by relaxing sunset in the hot tub and MAYBE a couple of cocktails! Couldn’t have been better! Made turning 65 a Breeze….Ocean Breeze actually! Thanks for the memories Isla Mujetes & Cecelia!!

Location location location!

The property is in a great location close to everything and on a beautiful beach. The rooms are big and the property is very clean. The owner and everyone we dealt with was friendly, very responsive and easy to communicate with. We had some issues with water leaking when it rained and the hot tub never got above mid 90’s which was a bummer on the cloudy/rainy days. The views and the beach chairs/access are amazing. Overall we had a great stay.
